[보스니아] 유럽은행, 바냐루카 수자원 인프라 개선 위한 대출 제공 
 
 
유럽부흥개발은행(EBRD ; European Bank for Reconstruction and Development)는 보스니아 헤르체고비나에 있는 바냐루카(Banja Luka)의 상수도 및 하·폐수 인프라 업그레이드를 위한 대출을 제공하기로 합의했다.

유럽부흥개발은행 그린 시티스(EBRD Green Cities) 프레임 워크에 따라 최대 600만 유로(약 709만 달러)의 대출이 제공된다.

EBRD의 Green Cities 프레임 워크는 도시 인프라, 에너지 및 정책 조치에 투자하여 환경 및 지속 가능성 문제를 해결하는 데 중점을 둔다.

인구 2만 명의 바냐루카(Banja Luka)는 보스니아 헤르체고비나에서 두 번째로 큰 도시이며, 이 지역에 사는 사람들이 물에 더 잘 접근할 수 있도록 하기 위해 도시와 EBRD에서 녹색도시 실행 계획을 개발했다. 

이 계획을 통해 EBRD와 시는 부적절한 물 공급 및 수질 문제를 최우선 과제로 삼는 목표를 설정했습니다.

EBRD의 대출 금액은 지역의 물 및 하·폐수 인프라를 업그레이드하는 데 사용된다.

EBRD는 600만 유로의 대출이 수도 및 하·폐수 인프라를 확장하기 위한 시의 5천600만 유로 장기 투자 계획의 일부라고 언급했다. 

또한 유럽 연합은 프로젝트를 지원하기 위해 2020년 사전 가입 지원 문서에 따라 400만 유로의 보조금을 제공하기로 합의했다.

오스트리아와 스웨덴은 또한 녹색도시 실행 계획에 자금을 지원하기 위해 기술 협력 자금을 제공하기로 합의했다.

이 프로젝트가 완료되면 이 프로젝트는 시민들의 양질의 식수 접근성을 개선하고 도시의 하수도 네트워크를 복원 및 확장 할 것으로 예상된다.

EBRD는 1996년 보스니아와 헤르체고비나에서 운영을 시작했으며 그 이후로 미국의 181개 프로젝트에 26억 유로 이상을 투자했다.

올해 7월  EBRD는  몽골의 홍수 방지 및 상수도 인프라 개선을 위한 다양한 이니셔티브를 지원하기로 합의했다.

EBRD to provide loan to improve water infrastructure in Banja Luka

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed to provide loan for the upgrade of water and wastewater infrastructure of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A loan of up to €6m ($7.09m) is being provided under the EBRD Green Cities framework.

EBRD's Green Cities framework focuses on addressing environmental and sustainability concerns by investing in municipal infrastructure, energy and policy measures.

With a population of 200,000, Banja Luka is the second-largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to ensure that the people living in this region have better access to water, a Green Cities Action Plan has been developed by the city and the EBRD.

Through this plan, EBRD and the city set an objective to address the issue of inadequate water supply and water quality as top priorities.

The loan amount from EBRD will be used for upgrading water and wastewater infrastructure in the region.

EBRD noted that its €6m loan is part of €56m long-term investment plan by the city to expand its water and wastewater infrastructure.

Additionally, the European Union has agreed to offer a grant of €4m under its Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance 2020 to support the project.

Austria and Sweden have also agreed to provide technical cooperation funds to finance the Green Cities Action Plan.

Upon completion, the project is expected to improve citizens' access to quality drinking water as well as restore and extend the city's sewerage network.

EBRD started its operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1996, and since then it has invested more than €2.6bn in 181 projects in the country.

In July this year, EBRD agreed to support a range of initiatives to prevent floods and improve water supply infrastructure in Mongolia.
