TecnoConverting Engineering presents the Tecno-Grabber¢ç system

 

 

TecnoConverting Engineering has developed the new Tecno-Grabber¢ç waste collection system, made of heavy-duty plastic material.


Each Tecno-Grabber¢ç unit can hold more than 100 kg of weight, and they can be used several times.


TecnoConverting Engineering performs all the hydraulic calculations necessary to size the baffle, made entirely of stainless steel, along with the hydraulic and resistance calculations to ensure the correct diameter and length of the TecnoGrabber¢ç waste collection system.


The first pilot test was carried out at the wastewater sewer overflow in the city of Sabadell (province of Barcelona, Spain), seeking to minimize the impact of waste discharges into the environment.


A TecnoGrabber system with 3 outlets was installed; after testing it for one year, the following results were achieved:


Each TecnoGrabber unit captured/collected more than 100 kg of waste.


Those 100 kg of waste were collected after 3-4 periods of rainfall.


The net system was replaced 9 times during the year.


More than 2.7 tonnes of waste were collected over the one-year period, preventing that waste from being released into the river.


It is important to note that this test was carried out in just one single location; if the system had been implemented at 10 different sites, more than 20.7 tonnes of waste could have been prevented from ending up in the river.
