[알제리] 테다구아, 아프리카서 가장 큰 담수화 플랜트 운영관리

하루 50만㎥ 생산용량…오란지역 150만명 이상에게 식수공급

스페인의 테다구아(Tedagua)는 현재 아프리카에서 최대 규모 중 하나인 알제리의 윌라야 데 오란(Wilaya de Oran)에 위치한 현재 국가에서 가장 중요한 플랜트인 마그타 담수화 플랜트(Magtaa desalination plant)의 관리를 위한 기술 지원 계약을 11월 26일 체결했다.

당초 계약기간이 1년으로 하루 50만㎥ 규모의 담수화 플랜트 운영을 개선해 오란(Oran) 지역 및 인근 주민 150만 명 이상에게 식수를 공급한다. 아울러 플랜트 운영 및 유지관리 등에 최적화 조치가 시행되고, 현재 생산량을 늘리는 방향으로 개혁사업이 정의된다.

이 플랜트는 국내외 기업과의 대규모 담수화 프로젝트 추진을 촉진하는 국영기업인 알제리에너지회사(AEC ; Algerian Energy Company)가 참여로 민관 협력의 BOT(Build-Operate-Transfer ; 건설-운영-양도) 계획에 따라 건설되었다.

하루 20만㎥의 생산용량을 가진 베니 사프 담수화 플랜트(Beni Saf desalination plant)의 운영·관리의 성공으로 AEC가 마그타 플랜트의 작업을 위해 테다과(Tedagua)와 코브라 알제리(Cobra Algerie)에도 투자하게 만들었다.

테다과(Tedagua)는 이번 계약 수주를 통해 알제리 국가에서 쌓은 경험은 물론 알제리 기업 및 공공기관과의 관계 강화에도 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

테다과(Tedagua)는 담수화 플랜트, 식수처리 플랜트, 도시 및 산업폐수 처리 및 재사용 플랜트, 보조시설의 설계, 건설, 운영 및 유지관리를 전문으로 하는 코브라 그룹(ACS ; A Cobra Group)의 선도업체이다.

Tedagua will carry out the operation and maintenance of the largest desalination plant in Africa

- The desalination plant has a nominal capacity of 500,000 m3/day, capable of supplying more than 1.5 million people.

- Improvements will be made in the operation and management of the plant and the necessary projects will be defined to increase current production.

Tedagua has been awarded the technical assistance contract for the management of the Magtaa desalination plant, currently the most important plant in the country, in Africa and one of the largest in the world, located in Wilaya de Oran (Algeria).

The objective of the contract, whose duration will initially be one year, is to improve the operation of the desalination plant, with a nominal capacity of 500,000 m3 / day, and thus guarantee the supply of drinking water to more than 1.5 million inhabitants of the population of Oran and its surroundings, in addition to the industry of the area. 

Additionally, optimization actions will be implemented in the management of the operation and maintenance of the plant, and reform projects will be defined to increase current production.

The plant was built under a BOT scheme, in a public-private partnership, with the participation of the national company Algerian Energy Company (AEC), which promotes the promotion of large-scale projects in desalination with national and foreign companies. 

The success of the management of the operation of the Beni Saf desalination plant, with a capacity of 200,000 m3/day, has made AEC bet on Tedagua and Cobra Algerie for the work at the Magtaa plant.

The award of this contract will increase Tedagua's experience in the Algerian country, as well as helping to strengthen the relationship with the country's companies and public bodies.
