글로벌 리더십 팀 합류로 글로벌 파이프라인 확장

블루스타 에너지 캐피탈(Bluestar Energy Capital)은 오늘 호주 재생 가능 개발 플랫폼인 블루스타 에너지 오스트레일리아 Pty Ltd의 전무 이사로 스티브 잭슨(Steve Jackson)을 임명했다고 발표했다. 스티브는 호주 전력 산업의 모든 분야에서 30년 이상의 경험을 보유하고 있으며 주요 민간 및 공공 전기 회사에서 임원직을, First Solar의 부사장(APAC 지역 관리자)과 FRV Australia의 개발 책임자를 역임했다. 잭슨은 블루스타의 시드니 CBD 사무실을 사용할 계획이다. 

블루스타의 설립자 겸 CEO인 데클란 플래너건(Declan Flanagan)은 "스티브는 호주의 에너지 전환 분야에서 선도적인 플랫폼을 구축하고 확장하는 데 있어 입증된 실적을 보유하고 있다."라고 말하며 "저는 호주에서 우리의 사업을 성공적으로 운영할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다."라고 덧붙였다. 

더불어 잭슨은 "블루스타는 전 세계적으로 재생 에너지 프로젝트를 개발하는 데 성공한 환상적인 실적을 가진 매우 유능한 팀을 보유하고 있다.  운이 좋게도 훌륭한 자원, 허용된 풍력 프로젝트, 그리고 여기 호주의 확립된 개발자와 함께 개발을 시작한 다른 프로젝트들을 시작했다."고 말했다. 이어, "더 많은 풍력, 태양광 및 스토리지 프로젝트를 개발하기 위해 또 다른 고성능 호주 산업 전문가 팀을 구성하기를 기대한다. 호주의 탈탄소 목표를 달성하는 것은 상당한 도전이며, 전 세계적으로 의미 있는 플랫폼을 구축할 수 있는 큰 기회를 만들고 있으며, 이를 달성하는 데 도움이 되기를 기대한다."라고 말했다. 

블루스타는 설립자 데클란 플래너건과 투자자인 S2G 벤처스, 그레이트 베이 리뉴어블로부터 1억 달러 규모의 초기 자금 조달을 완료한 이후, 세계적인 입지를 성공적으로 확장하고 있다. 현재 시카고, 오스틴, 더블린, 시드니에 지사를 두고 있다. 빠르게 성장하는 팀은 30명 이상의 전문가로 구성되어 있으며, 프로젝트 개발 파이프라인은 이미 내년에 건설에 들어갈 예정인 블루스타의 첫 번째 완전히 허가된 호주 프로젝트를 포함하여 1기가와트(GW)를 초과한다.

Bluestar Energy Capital Adds to Global Leadership Team and Grows Global Pipeline Following Successful US$100 Million Capital Raise

Steve Jackson appointed Managing Director of Australia business

Bluestar Energy Capital (‘Bluestar’ or ‘the Company’) today announced the appointment of Steve Jackson as Managing Director of its Australian renewable development platform, Bluestar Energy Australia Pty Ltd. Steve has over 30 years of experience in all facets of the Australian power industry and has held executive positions with leading private and public electricity companies. Jackson will be based in Bluestar’s Sydney CBD office.

Steve has held prior positions as Vice President (APAC Regional Manager) at First Solar and Head of Development at FRV Australia.

Since the completion of its US$100 million initial fundraising from founder Declan Flanagan and investors S2G Ventures and Great Bay Renewables in 2022, Bluestar has been successfully scaling its global presence. The company now has offices in Chicago, Austin, Dublin, and Sydney. Its fast-growing team consists of more than 30 professionals, and its project development pipeline already exceeds 1 gigawatt (GW), including Bluestar’s first fully permitted project in Australia, which is on track to enter construction next year.
