현대건설이 최근 음식물 폐기물을 이용해 에너지를 얻는 신기술 개발에 성공, 환경부로부터 환경신기술 인증(기술명: 관형 한외여과분리막을 결합한 음폐수 처리용 고온혐기성소화 및 고온 CO2 탈기를 응용한 혐기소화액 처리 기술, 이하 바이오가스 생산기술)을 획득했다.

이번에 환경신기술을 획득한 기술은 현대건설이 현대엔지니어링, 인천환경공단과 공동개발한 것으로 음식물쓰레기에서 발생되는 폐수(음폐수)를 섭씨 50도 이상의 고온에서 발효시켜 바이오 가스를 생산하는 동시에 음폐수를 주거 지역 방류 수질 기준까지 처리하는 기술이다.

또한 이 기술로 음폐수 바이오가스화 공정에서 발생되는 암모니아를 회수해 복합액체비료의 원료로 활용할 수도 있다. 이 기술은 기존에 바다에 버려 처리하던 음식물쓰레기를 에너지 연료로 변신시킨 친환경기술이라는 평가를 받고 있는데, 현대건설은 유효미생물과 분해가 덜 된 고형물을 분리하여 반송하는‘멤브레인(Membrane) 기술’을 바이오가스 생산 공정에 접목시켜 이를 가능케 했다.

바이오가스 생산기술은 유기물 제거율을 기존 60%에서 90%까지 향상시킨 동시에 바이오가스 생산량도 기존보다 30% 향상시켰으며, 멤브레인 공정과 암모니아 회수공정이 완전 밀폐형으로 운전되기 때문에 악취발생을 원천적으로 차단하고 슬러지(공정부산물) 발생량 역시 80% 이상 줄인 것이 특징이다.

현대건설 관계자는“이번 신기술을 통해 음식물쓰레기 처리 시 발생하던 악취와 최종 유출폐수 처리문제를 동시에 해결할 수 있게 됐다”며“향후 현대건설이 수주하는 턴키공사 및 민간 제안사업의 음식물류폐기물 자원화 현장에 적용해 친환경 녹색에너지 확보의 핵심기술로 활용할 계획”이라고 말했다.

 

 

 

Our company has successfully developed a new technology using food waste to generate energy and earned the environmental technology verification from the Ministry of Environment.

The biogas production technology, developed by our company in cooperation with Hyundai Engineering and Environmental Corporation of Incheon, ferments food waste leachate generated from food waste at a high temperature of over 50℃ to produce biogas and, at the same time, treats food waste leachate to the water quality standards for discharge into residential areas.

Moreover, the newly developed technology collects ammonia from the process of biogasfication and utilizes it as the raw material of complex liquid fertilizers.

The new development is recognized for an eco-friendly technology in which food waste, which was disposed into the sea, is transformed into energy fuel. Our company combines the process of biogas production with the membrane technology which separates partially decomposed solid waste matters from effective microorganisms.

What is notable about the new technology is that the completely sealed operation of membrane process and collecting ammonia shuts off bad smell and decreases sludge production by over 80 percent.
