개선된 수자원과 위생 시설, 개발도상국에 서비스 접근을 제공하는 국제민간비영리기구 WFP(Water For People)는 12월 초 첫 번째 리더십 연례회를 개최했다.

 

CH2M HILL의 국제 수자원 시장 부문 사장이자 리더십 의회 멤버인 그렉 멕킨타이어(Greg McIntyre)는 WFP의 CEO인 네드 브레슬린(Ned Breslin), 의회장 패트릭 멕칸(Patrick McCann), 다른 산업 리더들과 함께 제도적 도전뿐만 아니라 기회도 논의할 수 있는 이틀간의 워크숍에 참석했다.

 

그렉 멕킨타이어는 “우리 회사는 세계 모든 사람들이 안전하고 깨끗한 물을 마실 수 있도록 한다는 WFP의 비전을 공유한다. WFP 리더십 연례회에 멤버로서 참석해서 영광이다”라고 말했다.

 

 

 

At the beginning of December, Water For People (WFP), an international nonprofit organization providing access to improved water and sanitation systems and services in developing countries, hosted its first annual Leadership Council.

 

Greg McIntyre, CH2M HILL Global Water Market president and Leadership Council member, joined WFP CEO Ned Breslin, Board Chair Patrick McCann and other industry leaders for the two-day workshop to discuss opportunities as well as programmatic and operational challenges that WFP faces in giving more people access to safe water and sanitation resources.

 

"Our firm shares Water For People's vision of a world where everyone has access to safe drinking water and sanitation. It is truly an honor for me to be included as a member of the Water For People Leadership Council," said McIntyre.

 

"As industry leaders in the water sector, we have an opportunity to share our voice with the organization's leadership team on ways they can make an even bigger impact on the world by addressing operational and programmatic challenges," he said.

 

CH2M HILL has been a WFP corporate sponsor since 1991, when Ken Miller, a now-retired CH2M HILL executive, helped found the organization along with other professionals from the American Water Works Association.

 

In 2014, employees donated $250,276 to WFP during the company's annual Workplace Giving Campaign. It was the largest amount ever raised for WFP through a single corporate employee campaign and helped bring the firm's total contributions raised to more than $1.5 million since it started in 2003.
