미국 교화국이 증가하는 물관리 유연성을 목표로 수처리 기술을 향상시키기 위해 최대 140만 달러의 두 개의 자금 기회 하에 제안을 찾고 있다. 첫 번째 기회는 연구 및 실험을 위한 것이고, 두 번째는 파일럿 프로젝트를 위한 자금이다.

개인 연구와 실험 연구는 15만 달러, 파일럿 프로젝트는 40만 달러까지 필요할 것으로 보인다. 지원자들은 비연방 자금을 활용해 적어도 50%의 비용을 부담하도록 요구된다.

 

 

 

The US Bureau of Reclamation is seeking proposals under two funding opportunities totalling up to US$ 1.4 million to improve water treatment technologies aimed at increasing water management flexibility. The first opportunity is for research, laboratory studies and the second is for pilot projects.

 

Individual research and laboratory studies may request up to US$ 150,000 and pilot projects may request up to US$ 400,000. Applicants are required to provide at least a 50% cost-share utilizing non-federal money.

 

The funding opportunities are available at http://www.grants.gov and applications are due by February 16, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.

 

Eligible applicants include individuals, institutions of higher education, commercial or industrial organizations, private entities, public entities and Indian Tribal Governments.

 

The funding is part of the bureau's Desalination and Water Purification Research Programme which the bureau said is helping it and its partners confront widening imbalances between supply and demand in basins throughout the west through testing and development of new advanced water treatment technologies.

 

The programme's priorities in 2015 are:
·overcoming technical, economic and social barriers for direct and/or indirect potable reuse treatment,
·novel processes and/or materials to treat impaired waters, and

·concentrate management solutions leading to concentrate volume minimization for inland brackish desalination.
