Abengoa Receives The Provisional Acceptance Certificate For The Expansion Of A Water Treatment Plant Built In Mexico For Naturgy (Formerly Known As Gas Natural Fenosa)
It is integrated in the Norte Durango combined cycle plant.
Abengoa, the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainable development in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, has received the Provisional Acceptance Certificate for the expansion of the water treatment plant, built in the 450 MW Norte Durango combined cycle plant that Naturgy (formerly known as Gas Natural Fenosa) has in the State of Durango, Mexico.
The extension of this plant has been necessary to strengthen the combined cycle plant required by Naturgy. It allows to increase the production of demineralized water and to keep a constant feed of water supply that the combined cycle needs.
Abengoa has designed, built and commissioning the expansion of this plat, that has 1,700 m3/day of treatment capacity and a new technology in desalination, using reverse osmosis CCD (Close Circuit Desalination) and CEDI (Continuous Electrodeionization) modules.
Abengoa is a world leader in the water sector with more than 70 years of history developing water treatment, desalination and water infrastructure projects. In Mexico, it has been present since 1981, carrying out conventional and renewable energy projects, electricity transmission and distribution, oil and gas, water and singular construction.
