| AmericanAnglian Signs $1.4 million Contract for Moore County, NC

[MOORE COUNTY, N.C.] AmericanAnglian has signed a $1.4 million contract to operate, maintain and manage the Moore County Wastewater Treatment System, including the 6.7 MGD treatment plant, pump stations and 20 miles of collection system.
The system serves the Towns of Aberdeen, Carthage, Pine Bluff, Pinehurst and Southern Pines. Existing employees of the system became AmericanAnglian employees July 1, 1999.
By partnering with AmericanAnglian, Moore County will realize cost savings while assuring the continued provision of the highest quality wastewater service. The region is experiencing significant growth and the facility is currently operating at 80% of its capacity. Plans are underway for a plant expansion, increasing the current capacity to 12 MGD to meet this projected growth.
"AmericanAnglian has several clients in North Carolina and operates the 24 MGD wastewater treatment facility in Danville, Virginia.
