The 9th International Desalination Workshop

The increasing severity of climate change and water scarcity around the world is
driving interest in desalination technologies. Since 2007 the International Desalination
Workshop (IDW) has been gathering international professional leaders in the field of
desalination for yearly meetings to facilitate discussion of their work and exchange of
ideas. This year, IDW will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Masdar Institute of Science
and Technology and Global MVP will host the 9th International Desalination Workshop,
while the Forward Osmosis and Reverse Osmosis Hybrid Center (FOHC) and the
Global Desalination Research Center (GDRC) will act as co-organizers. All academics
and industry-relevant professionals involved in desalination-related research and
development are invited to attend the conference and submit abstracts for presentation.
