클린테큐홀딩스 유한회사(Clean TeQ Holdings Limited)는 커클랜드 레이크 골드(Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd.) 소유의 호주 빅토리아주 포스터빌 금광(Fosterville Gold Mine)에서 착공된 연속 이온 교환 담수화(DESALX) 처리장의 정식 준공 및 인도 성공적 성과를 발표한다.

호주 빅토리아에 있는 포스터빌 골드 광산(Fosterville Gold Mine)에서는 클린테큐(Clean TeQ)가 하루 200만 리터 규모의 클린테큐(Clean TeQ) DESALX® 광산수처리장을 설계, 공급, 위탁하는 업무를 수행했다. 이 공장은 광산 공정수를 처리해 지속 가능한 물관리 솔루션을 제공하도록 설계됐다.

처리장 건설은 2019년 말 완료됐으며, 2020년 초 시운전과 가동이 시작됐다. 회사는 클린테큐(Clean TeQ)가 설계하고 건설된 처리장이 이제 엔지니어링, 조달 및 건설 계약에 명시된 성능 시험을 통과했고 고객이 공식 수락 및 완료 통지를 발행했다는 것을 확인하게 되어 기쁘다.

DESALX® 기술은 2개의 연속이온여과(CIF®) 모듈로 구성되며, 보완 과정을 통해 물 속에 존재하는 이분 양이온과 음이온을 제거한다. CIF® 모듈에는 에어 리프트를 사용하여 칼럼 간에 사이클링되는 이온교환 수지가 포함되어 있어 시스템의 지속적인 작동과 재생이 가능하다.

이 시스템은 불순물 제거 효율을 높이고 화학적 사용을 줄이며 파울링으로부터 보호해 준다. DESALX® 솔루션은 역삼투막에 손상을 줄 수 있는 부유물질 뿐만 아니라 경도, 황산염, 중금속이 높은 폐수를 처리하기 어려운 정화에 잘 적합하다. 이런 종류의 폐수는 산성 광산 배수수를 포함한 광공업에서 흔하다.

포스터르빌에서 클린테큐(Clean TeQ)가 제공하는 장비는 안티몬과 비소를 제거하기 위한 강수 패키지를 포함한다. 클리어라이너에서 나오는 유출물은 DESALX® 공장에서 처리하여 석고를 유일한 부산물로 하여 황산염, 칼슘, 마그네슘을 제거한다.

Clean TeQ Achieves Formal Completion Of First DESALX® Plant In Australia

Melbourne, Australia (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Clean TeQ Holdings Limited (Clean TeQ or Company) (ASX/TSX:CLQ; OTCQX:CTEQF) announces the successful achievement of formal completion and handover of a ground-breaking Continuous Ion Exchange Desalination (DESALX®) plant at the Fosterville Gold Mine in Victoria, Australia owned by Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. (TSX/NYSE: KL & ASX: KLA).

At the Fosterville Gold Mine in Victoria, Australia, Clean TeQ was engaged to design, supply and commission a two million litre-per-day Clean TeQ DESALX® mine water treatment plant. The plant is designed to deliver a sustainable water management solution by treating mine process water.

The plant construction was completed in late 2019, with commissioning and operations commencing in early 2020. The Company is pleased to confirm that the Clean TeQ designed and constructed plant has now passed the performance tests specified in the engineering, procurement and construction contract and the customer has issued a formal notice of acceptance and completion.

The DESALX® technology consists of two continuous ionic filtration (CIF®) modules in series removing divalent cations and anions present in the water through complementary processes. The CIF® modules contain ion exchange resins that are cycled between columns using air lifts, allowing for continuous operation and regeneration of the system.

This system increases impurity removal efficiency, reduces chemical use, and provides protection against fouling. The DESALX® solution is well suited to purification of difficult to treat waste waters with high hardness, sulphate, and heavy metals as well as suspended solids which can foul reverse osmosis membranes. These types of waste waters are common in the mining industry, including acid mine drainage water.

At Fosterville, the equipment provided by Clean TeQ includes a precipitation package to remove Antimony and Arsenic. The effluent from the clarifiers is treated by the DESALX® plant to remove Sulphate, Calcium, and Magnesium with gypsum as the only by-product.

The DESALX® effluent is then further treated by reverse osmosis to produce water for re-use. The Clean TeQ system is a key enabling component of the customer’s overall water management strategy which includes a medium-term target of creating a true ‘zero liquid discharge’ solution that does not produce any saline brine and includes aquifer reinjection.

Clean TeQ Water is now focused on completing one additional key project at a copper-cobalt mine in the DRC, and a number of pilot programs in China. This Clean TeQ system, as well as the plants recently completed in Oman and Australia, are the first of their type anywhere in the world and have been deployed as part of three different technical solutions.

The successful delivery and commissioning of these plants provides strong demonstration of the efficacy of Clean TeQ’s suite of proprietary ion exchange technologies and their versatility for metal extraction and waste water treatment. As commercial scale plants, the facilities provide a valuable platform from which to now rapidly grow Clean TeQ Water.
