[영국] 오바로, 요크셔워터와 주요 스마트 네트워크 시험 협력

 

영국의 누출 전문기업인 오바로(Ovarro)의 첨단 데이터 주도 기술이 영국에서 가장 큰 스마트 워터 네트워크 파일럿((Hadfield Smart Water Network Pilot)에 성공적으로 공급되고 있다.

요크셔워터(Yorkshire Water)가 '오바로 에니그마 3하이큐(Ovarro Enigma 3hyQ)' 원격 누출 로거(logger) 10대를  셰필드 해드필드(Sheffield Hadfield)의 파일럿 구역에서 누출과 폭발 레벨을 줄이기 위한 다중 이해당사자 협력의 일환으로 배치했다.

요크셔워터(Yorkshire Water)의 해드필드 스마트워터 네트워크 파일럿(Hadfield Smart Water Network Pilot)은 '에니그마 3하이큐(Ovarro Enigma 3hyQ)' 로거는 물론 센서, 디지털 워터미터, 첨단분석, 통신채널 등 복수의 신규·기존 소스의 풍부한 데이터를 통합해 단일 시각화 플랫폼으로 제시한다.

오바로(Ovarro)는 요크셔워터(Yorkshire Water)의 누수감축팀과 20년 넘게 제휴해 근무해 왔으며, 디지털워터 공간 18개 업체 중 한 곳으로, 회사측이 유출과 공급 중단 등을 관리하는 방식에 혁명을 일으키겠다는 취지로 재판에 참여하고 있다.

 

'에니그마 3하이큐(Ovarro Enigma 3hyQ)'는 음향 누출 로거로, 장거리에서 직경이 큰 플라스틱이나 금속 파이프에서 원격으로 누출되는 것을 정확히 찾아낸다.

음향 기록기는 친수성 센서를 이용해 누출 소리를 녹음하고 오바로(Ovarro)의 클라우드 기반 분석 플랫폼인 프라임웹(PrimeWeb)에 데이터를 공급한다.

로거를 네트워크 전체에 배포하고 서로 다른 지점에서 청취하면 소음이 다른 로거에 도달하는 데 걸리는 시간을 측정할 수 있어 누출의 정확도를 높일 수 있다.

현장 실험(pilot)의 일환으로 10곳에 '에니그마 3하이큐(Enigma 3hyQ)' 로거가 설치돼 6.2km 지역을 감시하고 있다.

초기 결과는 고무적이며, 데이터가 프로젝트의 단일 플랫폼과 성공적으로 통합되어 이미 누출 기술자가 후속 조치를 취해야 할 몇 가지 관심 지점으로 이어지고 있다.

오바로(Ovarro)의 지역 매니저인 이언 그린웰(Ian Greenwell)는 "요크셔워터(Yorkshire Water)와 길고 성공적인 파트너십을 맺고 있으며 약 280명의  '에니그마 3하이큐(Enigma 3hyQ)' 로그인들이 2020년 2월부터 네트워크 일부를 면밀히 감시하고 있다"고 말했다.

이언 그린웰(Ian Greenwell) 매니저는 이어 "우리는 디지털 워터 분야에서 가장 규모가 큰 일부 업체와 함께 이 야심찬 파일럿의 일원으로 초청된 것을 자랑스럽게 생각한다"라고 덧붙였다.

영국 물산업이 물 부족을 해소하고 고객과 환경을 위해 제공하고자 하는 가운데, 새로운 작업 방식을 개발하기 위해 혁신을 수용하는 조직이 생겨난 환상적인 사례다.

샘 브라이트(Sam Bright) 매니저는 이어 "이러한 정보들은 이미 자체적으로 대단한 통찰력을 제공하므로, 일단 데이터가 지역 내의 다른 센서와 결합되고 스마트 네트워크 플랫폼 내에서 모니터링되면 유닛에서 활용할 수 있는 추가적인 가치를 보게 되어 매우 흥분된다"고 말했다.

스마트워터 네트워크 파일럿(Smart Water Network Pilot)은 스탄텍(Stantec)이 관리하는 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다. 2020년 4월에 시작된 이 12개월 프로젝트의 산출물은 요크셔 워터의 광범위한 디지털 전략의 일환으로 사용될 것이다.

Ovarro Collaborates On Major Smart Network Trial

 

 

 

Advanced data-led technology from leakage specialist Ovarro is successfully feeding into the largest smart water network pilot in the UK.

Ten Ovarro Enigma3hyQ remote leak loggers have been deployed by Yorkshire Water as part of a multi-stakeholder collaboration to reduce leakage and burst levels in the pilot area of Hadfield, Sheffield.

Yorkshire Water’s Hadfield Smart Water Network Pilot will integrate the rich data from multiple new and existing sources, including the Enigma3hyQ loggers, as well as sensors, digital water meters, advanced analytics and telecommunications channels, and present it in a single visualisation platform.

Ovarro has worked in partnership with Yorkshire Water’s leakage reduction teams for more than 20 years, and is one of 18 companies in the digital water space taking part in the trial, which aims to revolutionise the way the company manages leaks and interruptions to supply.

The Enigma3hyQ is a correlating acoustic leak logger, which pinpoints leaks remotely in large diameter plastic or metal pipes, over long distances.

The acoustic loggers use a hydrophone sensor to record leak sound and data is fed into Ovarro’s cloud-based analytics platform, PrimeWeb.

Having loggers distributed throughout the network and listening in at different points makes it possible to measure the time taken for noise to reach different loggers, making for greater accuracy in pinpointing leaks.

As part of the pilot, Enigma3hyQ loggers have been installed in 10 locations, monitoring an area of 6.2 kilometers.

The initial results are encouraging, with data successfully integrating with the project’s single platform, already leading to several points of interest for leakage technicians to follow up on.

Ovarro’s regional manager Ian Greenwell said: “We have a long and successful partnership with Yorkshire Water and around 280 Enigma3hyQ loggers have been closely monitoring parts of its network since February 2020

“As such, we are proud to have been invited to be part of this ambitious pilot, alongside some of the biggest players in the digital water sector."

The smart water network pilot is being project managed by Stantec. Launched in April 2020, outputs from the 12-month project will be used as part of Yorkshire Water’s wider digital strategy.
