[독일] 랑세스, 역삼투막 제조업 2배 확장 예정

화학 기업 랑세스(LANXESS)는 수요를 충족하기 위해 비터필드(Bitterfeld)에서 역삼투(RO) 제조공장의 생산 능력을 두 배로 늘릴 예정이다.

이 회사는 5년 동안 역삼투막 시장에 참여했으며 제조에 4천만 유로를 투자했다.

추가 용량은 10개의 새로운 일자리를 창출, 2017년 하반기에 작업 라인에 참여할 예정이다.

역삼투막 요소에 관한 시장은 다가오는 연도(CAGR 2015~2020)안에 매년 10%의 평균이상 비율로 성장하기 위해 현재 프로젝트 중이다.

시장에 역삼투막을 런칭하기 앞서, 독일 회사는 산업 표준을 충족시키는 요소가 포함된 이집트에서 시험을 실시했다.

랑세스 액체 정화 기술(LPT) 사업부의 책임자인 장-마크 베셀(Jean-Marc Vesselle)은 "5년 전 역삼투막 사업에 관한 우리의 진출 시도는 정말로 성공적이었다"면서 "우리는 거의 현재 능력의 한계에 도달했고, 따라서 우리는 다가오는 연도에 생산 능력을 두 배로 늘려야 한다"고 밝혔다.

REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE MANUFACTURING TO DOUBLE IN GERMANY, COMMITS LANXESS

Chemicals company LANXESS will double the production capacity of its reverse osmosis (RO) manufacturing site in Bitterfeld to meet demand.

The company has been involved in the RO membrane market for five years and to date has invested 40 million euros into manufacturing.

The additional capacity is scheduled to come on line in the second half of 2017, creating 10 new jobs.

The market for RO membrane elements is currently projected to grow at an above-average rate of 10% annually in coming years (CAGR 2015-2020).

Prior to launching its RO membranes to the market, the German firm conducted tests in Egypt, which concluded the elements met industrial standards (read WWi story).

Since opening the production plant in Bitterfeld, LANXESS has cooperated with technical universities and other research facilities in the region such as the Fraunhofer Institutes for Factory Operation and Automation (IFF) in Magdeburg and for Microstructure of Materials and Systems (IMWS) in Halle.

Jean-Marc Vesselle, head of the LANXESS Liquid Purification Technologies (LPT) business unit, said: “Our foray into the reverse osmosis membrane business five years ago has truly been a success story. We have almost reached the limit of our current capacity so we are going to double production capacity in the coming year.”
