 IECEx는 국제표준을 기반으로 한 품질평가 규격을 사용하며, 폭발 위험이 있는 환경에서 사용되는 장비와 관련된 표준 인증을 위한 IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) 시스템이다. 

 

시스템은 자발적으로 이루어지지만 IEC 표준을 준수하는지를 입증하는 국제적으로 인정된 방법을 제공하며 많은 국가 승인 체계에서 사용되기 때문에 IECEx 인증을 사용하여 국가 규정 준수를 지원할 수 있다. ATEX는 독보적인 유럽연합(EU) 지침으로, 폭발 위험으로부터 보호한다.

 

드 노라(De Nora)는 승인된 IECEx 인증기관인 Certification Management Limited(CML)과 협력하여 OMNIPURE Series 64 G2 Ex 하수처리 시스템을 준수했다. 특정 송신기 또는 압력 스위치와 같은 개별 부품이 특정 위험지역 요구사항을 충족하도록 설계, 평가, 인증된 구성 요소 수준 인증과 달리 IECEx 및 ATEX 표준 제품 인증을 통해 드 노라(De Nora)는 완전한 IMO 유형을 제공 할 수 있습니다 전 세계에서 가장 혹독하고 엄격한 해양 설비에 설치하기 위해 OMNIPURE Series 64 G2 시스템을 승인했다.

De Nora Achieves IECEx And ATEX Hazardous Area Certification For OMNIPURE™ Series 64 G2 Ex Packaged Sewage Treatment Systems

 

 

De Nora, a global leader in electrochemical technologies and the world’s largest provider of electrodes, coatings and complete solutions for electrochemical water and wastewater treatment systems, announces the issuance of the first IECEx and ATEX Hazardous Area Certification for a complete packaged sewage treatment system including an electrical panel, the latest generation OMNIPURE™ Series 64 G2 Ex marine and offshore Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) equipment.

 

IECEx, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) system for certification to standards relating to equipment for use in explosive atmospheres, uses quality assessment specifications that are based on international standards. While the system is voluntary, it provides an internationally accepted means of proving compliance with IEC standards and because it is used in many national approval scheme, IECEx certification can be used to support national compliance. ATEX is a uniquely European Union directive for protection against explosive atmospheres.

 

De Nora worked with approved IECEx certification body, Certification Management Limited (CML), to achieve compliance of their OMNIPURE Series 64 G2 Ex sewage treatment systems. Unlike a component-level certification, where an individual part such as a level transmitter or pressure switch is designed, evaluated, tested and certified to meet a particular hazardous area requirement, the IECEx and ATEX standardized product certification permits De Nora to offer complete IMO Type Approved OMNIPURE Series 64 G2 systems for installation in some of the harshest and rigorous offshore installations worldwide.

 

“These certifications are an exciting development for De Nora because they allow us to better serve our customers with an OMNIPURE Series 64 G2 sewage treatment unit as a single standardized, IECEx and ATEX certified product,” said Dana Casbeer, De Nora product technology manager ? OMNIPURE. “This alleviates the often-high cost burden passed onto customers who want to achieve overall technical design and compliance adherence normally encountered on a project to project basis.”

 

“It is extremely important that selected IECEx and ATEX components for type approved Marine Sewage Treatment Systems are environmentally tested per IMO and Class Society requirements and marine type approved,” commented Sehul Patel, De Nora R&D engineer II. “Maintaining both regulatory compliance and hazardous area classification safety for our installations offshore is paramount at De Nora.”

 

OMNIPURE marine and offshore sewage treatment systems oxidize sewage through an electrolytic process generating sodium hypochlorite for the disinfection of sewage streams. The OMNIPURE Series 64 G2 Ex system has received Type Certification to IMO MEPC.227(64) by Bureau Veritas. As the pioneer in this field, this electrolytic technology has been available to the marine and offshore market since 1983.
