[UAE] ACWA Power, 중국서 담수화 협력 MOU 체결

 

UAE(아랍에미레이트) 담수화 및 전력회사인 ACWA Power는 에너지 차이나(ENERGY CHINA, China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited)와 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다.

이 기본 협정을 통해 양사는 공동투자 기회를 모색하고 ACWA Power가 운영하는 중동과 아시아의 발전 및 담수화 프로젝트에 협력할 수 있게 됐다.

이번 양해각서(MOU)는 ACWA Power의 모하메드 아부나얀(Mohammad Abunayyan) 회장과 왕자평(Wang Jianping) ENERGY CHINA 회장, 중국 공공 부문의 고위 공무원 및 China Gezhouba Group Company(CGGC)의 고위 간부 및 전문가들과 함께 고위급 고위 인사를 동반했다.

왕자평(Wang Jianping) ENERGY CHINA 회장은 "이번 합의로 중동과의 관계를 강화하고 지역 내 새로운 발전 기회를 열어 갈 것"이라고 말했다.

패디 패드마나탄(Paddy Padmanathan) ACWA Power의 사장 겸 CEO는 "우리는 세계의 엔지니어링 및 EPC 계약 회사 중 한 곳과 파트너 관계를 맺게되어 영광이다. 이 양해각서는 우리가 사업을 영위하고 있는 국가들에게 시장에서 최고를 가져오는 우리의 성공을 보여준 것”이라면서 “우리는 이 새로운 파트너십이 아시아 지역에서 중국과의 관계를 강화하고 강화시킬 수 있을 것이라고 믿다"고 강조했다.

ACWA Power는 10개국에서 운영되고 있으며, 신뢰성이 높고 비용 효율적인 전원 공급장치 및 유틸리티 분야의 담수 솔루션을 제공하기 위해 지방 정부를 지원하기로 약속 한 국가의 여러 회사와 MOU를 체결했다.

ACWA Power signs MoU to explore desalination opportunities in China

 

DUBAI, UAE: Desalination and power company ACWA Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (ENERGY CHINA).

The framework agreement will enable both companies to explore joint investment opportunities and cooperate on power generation and water desalination projects across the Middle East and Asia where ACWA Power operates.

The MoU was signed by ACWA Power’s chairman, Mohammad Abunayyan and ENERGY CHINA’s Chairman, Wang Jianping, who were accompanied by high-level dignitaries, including senior officials from China’s public sector, as well as senior business executives and professionals from China Gezhouba Group Company (CGGC).

Wang Jianping, chairman of ENERGY CHINA, said: “With this agreement, we will strengthen the ties between China and the Middle East and unlock new potential power generation opportunities in the region.”

Paddy Padmanathan, president and CEO of ACWA Power, said: “We’re honoured to partner with one of the leading engineering and EPC contracting companies in the world. This MoU further demonstrates our success in bringing the best in market to the countries in which we operate. We believe this new partnership will allow us both to grow and to strengthen our relationship with China in the region.”

ACWA Power operates in 10 countries and has signed MoUs with various companies in those countries pledging to support local governments in the provision of reliable and cost-effective power source and desalinated water solutions within the utility sphere.
