[미국] 어텐티브 에너지, MRV Group과 협력해 뉴저지의 연안 풍력 공급망 개선 위해 주 전체 조사 시작

토털 미국 재생에너지(Total Energy Renewables USA), LLC의 자회사인 어텐티브 에너지(Attentive Energy) LLC는 지난 4월 28일 공급업체 다양성 및 개발 회사 MRV Group과 새로운 협업을 발표했다고 밝혔다. LLC는 이러한 그룹이 해상 풍력 산업에 진입하기 위한 과제와 비즈니스 개발 경로를 평가하기 위해 주 전체에 걸친 두 개의 소규모 및 다양한 기업 및 비영리 조사를 시작했다.

조사는 뉴저지의 영리 및 비영리 단체로부터 피드백을 구하고 소수자 및 여성 소유 비즈니스 기업(MWBE), 서비스 장애인 베테랑 소유 비즈니스 기업(SDVOB), 장애인 소유 비즈니스 기업(DOBE)과 같은 조달 프로세스, 보조금 신청 및 DEIJ 비즈니스 인증에 초점을 맞출 예정이다. LGBTBE(LGBTBE), DBE(Depositive Business Enterprise, 예금형 기업), 부족 공동체 및 개인을 대상을 한다. 모든 설문 참가자는 해양 풍력 경영진과의 비공개 세션을 포함하여 네트워킹 및 멘토링 기회로 구성된 비즈니스 개발 상을 받을 수 있다.

이 조사는 뉴저지 공공사업위원회(NJBPU)가 2023년 3월 7일 세 번째 해상풍력 요청을 발표한 이후 시작됐다. 세 번째 요청은 뉴저지가 해상풍력에너지의 중심지로서의 입지를 확보하고, 지역의 해상풍력사업과 녹색경제 발전을 지원하기 위한 인력개발, 제조, 운영 및 정비를 위한 주요 생태계 구축에 탄력을 받기 위한 것이다.

글렌 오 비커스 2세 (Glenn O) MRV 그룹의 전무 이사 겸 설립자는 "이 조사는 진입 장벽을 이해하는 데 있어 한 걸음 더 나아간 것이며 해상 풍력 산업 전반에 대한 기준을 제공한다"며 뉴저지 주의 환경, 경제, 노동력 및 사회적 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 뉴저지 주의 기업 및 비영리 단체의 참여가 최우선 과제"라고 말했다. MRV 그룹은 뉴저지의 21개 카운티와 564개 지방 자치체를 대표하는 것을 목표로 하는 이 조사를 관리하고 시행하고 있다.

Attentive Energy Partners with MRV Group to Launch State-wide Surveys to Gather Recommendations for Improved Small/Diverse Business and Nonprofit Engagement in Offshore Wind Supply Chain in New Jersey

 

Attentive Energy LLC, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC, today announced a new collaboration with supplier diversity and development firm MRV Group, LLC initiating two state-wide small/diverse business and nonprofit surveys to evaluate the challenges and business development pathways for these groups to enter the offshore wind industry.

The surveys will seek feedback from for-profit and non-profit organizations in New Jersey and focus on procurement processes, grant applications, and DEIJ business certification, such as Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB), Disability-Owned Business Enterprises (DOBE), LGBT-Owned Business Enterprises (LGBTBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Tribal Communities, and Justice-Involved Individuals. All survey participants will be eligible for a business development award that comprises networking and mentorship opportunities, including a private session with offshore wind executives.

The survey launch follows the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ (NJBPU) release of its third offshore wind solicitation on March 7, 2023. The third solicitation seeks to secure New Jersey’s position as the hub of offshore wind energy and gain momentum in establishing major ecosystems for workforce development, manufacturing, and operations and maintenance to support the region’s offshore wind projects and the development of a green economy.
