글로벌 대규모 태양광 PV 개발업체 순위에 유일하게 선정된 아시아 기업

총 18.1GW의 태양광 PV 용량 보유…재생에너지 환경 기여 인정받아

인도 아다니 그룹의 계열사인 아다니 그린에너지(Adani Green Energy Limited, AGEL)는 12월 6일(현지시각) 머콤 캐피털 그룹(Mercom Capital Group)의 최신 연례 글로벌 보고서에서 태양광 PV 개발업체 세계 2위로 선정됐다고 발표했다. 

이 보고서에 따르면, AGEL은 뛰어난 성과와 재생에너지 환경에 대한 기여를 통해 세계 태양광 PV 개발업체 가운데 2위를 차지했다. 운영 중인 프로젝트와 수상 프로젝트를 포함해 총 18.1GW의 태양광 PV 용량을 보유한 AGEL은 글로벌 태양광 에너지 부문에서 중요한 입지를 다졌다.

가우탐 아다니(Gautam Adani) 아다니 그룹의 회장은 "대규모 재생에너지 분야에 전념해 완전 통합형 토착 제조 생태계 및 친환경 수소 솔루션을 개발하고 있다"며 "아다니 포트폴리오 단계에서 에너지 전환 이니셔티브에 총 750억 달러를 투자해 2030년까지 45GW의 재생에너지 용량을 확보하고, 인도가 탈탄소화를 향해 나아갈 수 있도록 중추적인 역할을 강화할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

청정에너지 커뮤니케이션 및 조사기관인 머콤 캐피털 그룹은 2022년 7월부터 2023년 6월까지 집계된 데이터를 바탕으로 세계 10대 대규모 태양광 PV 개발업체를 선정한 보고서를 발표했다. 이 보고서에는 운영 용량, 전력 구매 계약(PPA)가 체결된 프로젝트 등 1㎿ 이상의 용량을 가진 프로젝트의 데이터가 포함된다.

한편, 10대 개발업체는 보고서 기간 동안 운영 혹은 건설 중인 프로젝트, PPA 계약 수주 태양광 프로젝트 가운데 145GW를 차지했다. 이 중 49.5GW는 운영되고 있고 29.1㎿는 건설 중이며, 66.2GW는 PPA 계약 파이프라인에 있다.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s largest and one of the world’s leading renewable energy solutions partner, has attained the remarkable position of the second-largest global solar PV developer, in Mercom Capital Group's latest Annual Global Report.

According to the report, AGEL‘s outstanding performance and contribution to the renewable energy landscape have earned it the prestigious second rank among the world’s foremost solar PV developers. With an impressive total solar capacity of 18.1 GW encompassing operational, under-construction, and awarded (PPA-contracted) projects, AGEL solidifies its significant position in the global solar energy sector. With a total capacity of 41.3 GW, France-based TotalEnergies emerged at the top.

Speaking on the ranking, Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, said, “We are committed to largescale renewables, developing an indigenous fully integrated manufacturing ecosystem and green hydrogen solutions. At the Adani portfolio level, a total investment of $75 billion (by 2030) on our energy transition initiatives will further our vision to have 45 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030 and strengthen the pivotal role played by AGEL in India’s glide path to decarbonization.”

Mercom Capital Group, a reputable clean energy communications and research firm, has unveiled its report outlining the top ten leading global large-scale solar PV developers based on data compiled from July 2022 to June 2023. It includes data of projects with more than 1 MW capacity encompassing operational capacity, projects under construction and projects with awarded Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

The top 10 developers accounted for 145 GW of operational, under-construction, and awarded (PPA-contracted) solar projects during the reporting period. Of this, 49.5 GW of projects were operational, 29.1 MW were under construction, and 66.2 GW were in pipeline (PPA-contracted).
