[미국] MWRD, Excellence in Management award 수여

국립청정수관리소협회(NACWA, National Association of Clean Water Agencies)가 시설의 효율적인 관리를 성공하기 위한 지속적인 노력을 인정해 Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD)에게 Excellence in Management Platinum Award를 수여했다고 밝혔다.

2003년 처음 개최된 Excellence in Management Program (EIM)은 시설관리 지역에 위치한 국립청정수관리소협회 회원 기관의 중요한 성공에 대해 인정한다. 또한, 현재 경쟁환경에서 공공 청정수 시설이 직면한 문제를 관리하고 다루는 성공적인 프로그램을 지속적으로 3년 동안 시행한 회원 기관에게 감사를 표한다.

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) recently awarded the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) the Excellence in Management Platinum Award for its sustainable efforts toward achieving an effectively-managed utility.

Launched in 2003, the Excellence in Management Program (EIM) acknowledges the significant achievements of NACWA member agencies in the utility management arena. The program honors member agencies that have implemented and sustained, for a continuous three-year period, successful programs that address the range of management challenges faced by public clean water utilities in today's competitive environment.

In 2012, NACWA's EIM Program was enhanced with the incorporation of Platinum, Gold and Silver recognition, reflective of the number of attributes an agency meets or exceeds.

MWRD's work met or exceeded the following attributes of utility excellence: product quality, financial viability, customer satisfaction, employee and leadership development, operational optimization, infrastructure stability, operational resiliency, community sustainability, water resource adequacy, stakeholder understanding and support; water resources recycling and stormwater management, pretreatment program, biosolids, and water quality protection on a watershed basis.
