2050년까지 바다에는 모든 어류와 포유류를 합친 것보다 더 많은 플라스틱이 점유할 것이다. 

비브로(Vivreau)는 5월 13일(현지시각) 포오션(4Ocean)과 '더블 유어 임팩트(Double Your Impact)' 이니셔티브를 개시한다고 밝혔다. 이번 이니셔티브를 통해 양사는 2024년 9월 30일까지 구매하고 설치한 모든 비브로 디스펜서(Dispenser)를 통해 플라스틱과 쓰레기의 10파운드를 바다에서 제거할 계획이다.

이 이니셔티브는 지속 가능한 미래를 구축하기 위한 비브로와 포오션의 목표를 반영한다. 양사는 플라스틱 5파운드를 제거하는 '바이 원, 풀 원(Buy One, Pull One)' 이니셔티브를 올해 초 공동으로 진행했으며, 더 큰 효과를 창출하기 위한 노력을 강화했다.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than all fish and mammals combined. Through the new initiative, the organizations will remove 10 pounds of plastic and trash from the ocean for every Vivreau dispenser purchased and installed before September 30, 2024.

The ‘Double Your Impact’ initiative reflects Vivreau and 4ocean’s commitment to building a more sustainable future. Initially collaborating on the ‘Buy One, Pull One’ initiative earlier this year to remove five pounds of plastic for every dispenser sold, both organizations have intensified their efforts to make an even greater impact.
