[레바논] 베올리아, 베이루트에 오바로 누수감지 장비 지원 긴급 작업

 

데이터 기술기업 오바로(Ovarro)가 레바논 베이루트(Beirut) 항구의 식수 네트워크 재활을 지원하고 있는 베올리아 재단(Veolia Foundation)의 긴급 누출 감지 장비 요청에 발빠르게 대응했다.

총 12개의 에니그마 누출 로거(Enigma leak loggers)와 Mikron3 음향 누출 위치 장치가 문자 메시지 요청 후 6일 이내에 시로 비행되었다.

레바논 수도 베이루트(Beirut)는 2020년 8월 4일 우발적인 폭발로 인해 기반시설과 건물에 미화 15억 달러의 피해를 입었다.

이번 폭발은 질산암모늄 2천750톤의 부적절한 저장과 관련이 있었으며 200명 이상의 사람들이 목숨을 잃었고 수천명이 부상당했다.

비올리아 재단(Veolia Foundation)은 인도주의적인 업무를 수행하고 있으며, 그 우선순위 행동 분야에는 긴급 대응이 포함되어 있다.

베이루트의 지상에서 지역 상수도 설비를 지원하는 베올리아 재단 기술자들은 오바로(Ovarro)의 기술에 익숙했고, 이 설비가 물망 확보에 도움을 주는 역할을 볼 수 있었다.

오바로의 현장 책임자인 에릭 로모니(Eric Laumonier)에는 "시내 네트워크의 누수를 찾아 고치기 위해 긴급한 조치가 필요했고, 그 장비는 베이루트에 빨리 도달해야 했다"면서 " 우리는 이 중대한 비상사태에 도움을 줄 수 있는 위치에 있다는 것이 자랑스러웠다"고 말했다.

에니그마 누출 로거((Enigma leak loggers))는 누출이 의심되는 곳에 가까운 도시 환경의 거리에 배치할 수 있으며, 멀티 포인트 상관 관계를 사용하여 정확한 위치를 파악할 수 있다.

Leak Loggers Support Emergency Effort In Beirut

 

Data technology company Ovarro has responded quickly to a request for emergency leak detection equipment from the Veolia Foundation, which is supporting the rehabilitation of drinking water networks in the Port of Beirut.

A total of 12 Enigma leak loggers and a Mikron3 acoustic leak location device were flown to the city on 24 August, within six days of a text message request.

The Lebanese capital suffered some US$15B of damage to infrastructure and buildings in the wake of an accidental explosion on 4 August 2020.

The blast was linked to unsuitable storage of 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate and more than 200 people lost their lives and thousands more were injured.

The Veolia Foundation carries out humanitarian work and its priority areas of action include emergency response.

The Veolia Foundation engineers supporting the local water utility on the ground in Beirut were familiar with Ovarro’s technologies and could see a role for the equipment in helping secure the water network.

Eric Laumonier, site lead for Ovarro in France said, “Urgent action was needed to find and fix leaks in the city’s network and the equipment had to reach Beirut quickly. We were proud to be in a position to help with this critical emergency effort.”
