[우크라이나] 캄비, 리코와 공동 우크라이나 열수분해 슬러지처리장 수주

캄비(Cambi)와 슬로베니아 엔지니어링회사인 리코(Riko) 컨소시엄이 우크라이나 르비브(Lviv)시에 열수분해 슬러지 처리장을 건설하는 계약을 체결했다.

르비브(Lviv)시는 고도 혐기성 소화에 이은 캄비(Cambi)의 열수분해 공정을 바탕으로 바이오가스 생산 슬러지 처리시설을 새로 건설하기로 했다.

캄비(Cambi) 그룹의 에이릭 파드네스(Eirik Fadnes) 최고경영자(CEO)는 "총 계약 금액은 3천150만 유로로 이 프로젝트는 우크라이나의 주요 도시들 중 한 곳의 오수 슬러지 처리를 훨씬 더 지속 가능하게 만들 것"이라면서 "캄비(Cambi)에게 이는 거대하고 유망한 시장인 우크라이나의 전략적 돌파구"라고 말했다.

르비브(Lviv)시의 상하수 공동기업인 르비브보도카날(Lvivvodokanal)은 유럽재건개발은행(EBRD), 북유럽환경금융공사(NEFCO), 존 누르미넨재단(John Nurminen Foundation), 동유럽에너지효율환경파트너십(E5P ;  Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency ership)의 지원을 받아 새로운 처리장 건설에 자금을 조달할 예정이다.

르비브(Lviv)시는 약 72만 명의 거주자를 가지고 있고, 유출물은 발트해(Baltic Sea)로 흘러 들어가는 폴트바 강(Poltva river)에 방류된다. 현재 도시로부터 수집된 하수슬러지는 매립되어 발트해를 오염시키는 온실가스와 높은 인과 질소 부하를 방출하고 있다.

이 프로젝트는 영양 오염과 온실가스 배출을 연간 12만8천600톤의 이산화탄소 배출 감소시킬 계획이다. 이는 르비브(Lviv)의 거리에서 약 9만 대의 자동차를 제거하는 것과 맞먹는다.

바이오솔리드(biosolid) 제품은 품질이 우수하고 병원균이 없어 토지 적용에 적합하다.

열수분해와 바이오가스 발전소는 2023년 인도가 예정되어 있으며, 2020년 12월부터 공사가 시작된다.

Cambi And Partner Win Contract For The First Thermal Hydrolysis Sludge Treatment Plant In Ukraine

A consortium of Cambi and Slovenian engineering company Riko has been awarded a contract to build a thermal hydrolysis sludge processing plant in the city of Lviv.

The municipality of Lviv has decided to build a new sludge treatment facility with biogas production, based on Cambi’s thermal hydrolysis process followed by advanced anaerobic digestion.

The total contract value is € 31.5M. “This project will make sewage sludge treatment in one of Ukraine’s major cities far more sustainable. For Cambi this is a strategic breakthrough in Ukraine, a large and promising market,” said Eirik Fadnes, CEO of Cambi Group.

Lvivvodokanal, the Lviv city’s communal enterprise for water and wastewater, will finance the new plant with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), the John Nurminen Foundation and theand Environment Partn Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency ership (E5P).

Lviv has approximately 720,000 inhabitants and the effluent is discharged in the Poltva river, which flows into the Baltic Sea. Currently, the sewage sludge collected from the city is landfilled, releasing greenhouse gases and high phosphorus and nitrogen loads that pollute the Baltic Sea.

The project will reduce nutrient pollution, as well as greenhouse gas emissions by 128,600 tonnes CO2 annually. This is equivalent to removing about 90,000 cars from the streets of Lviv.

The biosolids product will have exceptional quality and be free of pathogens, making it suitable for land application.

The thermal hydrolysis and biogas plants are scheduled for handover in 2023, with works commencing in December 2020.
