[일본] 에바라 펌프 유럽, 오프그리드 워터 얼라이언스 가입

일본 에바라 코퍼레이션(EBARA CORPORTION, 이하 에바라)의 해외 그룹사 에바라 펌프 유럽(Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A., 이하 EPE)이 오프-그리드 워터 얼라이언스(Off-Grid Water Alliance, 이하 OGWA)에 가입했다고 지난 12월 22일 밝혔다.

에바라는 창립 이래 지역사회 물 문제를 지원하고 해결해 왔으며, 전 세계적인 물 문제를 해결할 책임이 있다. UN 데이터에 따르면 전 세계적으로 22억 명의 사람들이 안전하게 관리되는 식수를 이용하지 못하고 있다.

EPE 관계자는 “SDG6(깨끗한 물과 위생)과 SDG7(저렴하고 깨끗한 에너지)과 같은 지속가능한 사회 실현을 목표로 하는 Off-Grid Water Alliance(OGWA)의 일원임을 자랑스럽게 생각한다”면서 “12월 2일에 공식적으로 출범한 OGWA의 사명은 지구의 오프 그리드 부분에서 증가하는 글로벌 물문제를 해결하는 회원과 기업 간 시너지 효과를 구축하는 것이다. 물은 건강, 농업, 생태계 및 교육에 필수적이다. 깨끗한 물에 대한 접근은 안전하고 안정적인 생활을 위해 중요하며 이는 브랜드와 인지도에 더 큰 기업 가치를 가져다줄 것이다”라고 말했다.

에바라의 장기 목표 ‘E-Vision 2030’에 따라, 에바라 그룹은 전 세계 6억 명에게 물을 제공하는 것을 목표로 풍부한 식량과 물을 통해 지속가능한 사회에 공헌할 것이다.

에바라 그룹은 중장기 비전에서 도출된 중대이슈를 도출하고 중장기 경영계획을 실행하여 기업가치를 높임으로써 지속가능발전목표(SDGs) 달성에 기여하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A. Became a Member of Off-Grid Water Alliance

Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A. (EPE), an overseas group company of EBARA CORPOARTION (EBARA), is pleased to announce to become a member of Off-Grid Water Alliance (OGWA).

1. Background
Based on UN data, 2.2 billion people around the world still lack safely managed drinking water, including 7.85 million without basic drinking water. Since its foundation, the EBARA Group has been supporting society and contributing to resolving social issues. As EBARA, we have assumed the responsibility to address the global water challenges.

2. Overview
EPE is proud to be one of the members of Off-Grid Water Alliance (OGWA) that aims to realize sustainable society where such as SDG6 (clean water and sanitation) and SDG7 (affordable and clean energy) are meet. The mission of the OGWA, officially launched on December 2nd, is to build synergies between the members and businesses addressing the growing global water challenges in off-grid part of the planet. We advocate for actions strongly believing that water is essential to health, agriculture, ecosystems and education: access to clean water is important for a safe and reliable living, and that it will bring greater corporate value to the brand and recognition as a global company of excellence.

3. Future plan
In accordance with EBARA’s long term “E-Vision 2030”, the EBARA Group will contribute to a sustainable society with ample food and water, aiming to provide water to 6 hundred million people in the world.
The EBARA Group aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing material issues identified in its long-term vision and executing the medium-term management plan to increase corporate value.
