[피지] 수도청, 누수 저감 위해 타카두 솔루션 도입
식수 분배 시스템에서 누수 및 무수수량에 대한 대응 역량 강화

피지 수도청(The Water Authority of Fiji, WAF)이 누수 저감을 위해 타카두(TaKaDu)의 CEM 솔루션을 도입한다.

피지 수도청은 도시 피지에서 식수 시스템의 일부로 TaKaDu의 중앙이벤트관리(Central Event Management, CEM) 솔루션을 배포할 계획이라고 지난 1월 14일 밝혔다.

피지의 상하수도 네트워크는 길이 4천982㎞ 이상의 파이프로 구성되어 있으며 연간 13만6천 메가리터 이상의 깨끗한 식수를 처리해 피지 전역의 가정과 기업으로 보낸다.

최근 WAF가 직면한 주요 과제는 45%의 높은 수준의 무수수량(Non-Revenue Water, NRW)이다. 높은 NRW 수준은 주로 50년 이상 전에 구축된 매우 낡고 오래된 기반 시설로 인해 수도관 망 시스템 내 누수가 많기 때문이다.

이러한 현상은 WAF의 자산관리시스템이 누수를 효율적으로 감지, 분석 또는 관리할 수 없어 더욱 악화되는 실정이다.

피지 수도청의 최고 운영 책임자인 세루 소더버그(Seru Soderberg)는 “우리의 가장 큰 우선순위 중 하나는 다양한 수단을 통해 고객들이 물을 지속적으로 공급 받을 수 있도록 공급 능력을 개선하고 강화하는 것이다”면서 “타카두의 중앙 이벤트 관리(CEM)를 구현함으로써 우리는 네트워크 효율성을 향상시키고 누수 및 서비스 중단을 줄이기 위해 한 걸음 나아가겠다”고 말했다.

타카두의 아미르 펠레그(Amir Peleg) 설립자 겸 CEO는 “수년 동안 15개국에서 우리의 CEM 솔루션은 주요 유틸리티가 고객 서비스에 실질적인 영향을 미치고 물 손실을 줄이는 데 도움을 주고 있다”면서 “우리는 이제 태평양 지역의 주요 수도시설 중 하나인 피지 수도청과 함께 이러한 목표를 달성하기 위해 이 여정을 시작하게 되어 매우 기쁘다”고 말했다.

THE WATER AUTHORITY OF FIJI (WAF) SELECTS TAKADU’S CENTRAL EVENT MANAGEMENT (CEM) SOLUTION TO IMPROVE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND REDUCE WATER LOSS.

By incorporating the CEM of TaKaDu, WAF plans to enhance its water network management and improve customer service.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) will deploy the TaKaDu’s Central Event Management (CEM) solution as part of its constant commitment to providing access to clean and safe drinking water to residential and non-residential metered customers in urban Fiji. Its current water and wastewater network constitutes more than 4,982 kilometres of pipes and treats and transports more than 136,000 megalitres of clean drinking water annually to homes and businesses across Fiji.

A major challenge facing WAF today is its high level of non-revenue water (NRW) of 45%. The high NRW levels are mainly because of the high number of leakages within WAF’s reticulation system due to a very old and aged infrastructure built over 50 years ago. This is further compounded by the current asset management system that is unable to detect, analyse and manage leakages and NRW in an efficient and effective manner.

“One of our biggest priorities is to improve and enhance our supply capabilities through various means, so we can ensure that our customers receive a consistent supply of water,” said Seru Soderberg, WAF’s Chief Operating Officer.

“By implementing TaKaDu’s Central Event Management (CEM) we are taking the next step in our digital journey to reduce leakage and service interruptions while improving our network efficiency.”
