미국의 글로벌 화학기업인 듀폰(DuPont)은 지속가능한 물의 정화, 보존 및 재사용을 위해 다양한 한외여과(ultrafiltration ; UF) 멤브레인 제품군(portfolio)을 통합하고 브랜드를 변경하고 있다.

DuPont™, IntegraTec™ 한외여과 기술(ultrafiltration technology) 및 제품 포트폴리오는 Inge®, Memcor® 및 듀폰의  UF의 여러 기존 한외여과 브랜드를 고객이 사용할 수 있는 단일 포트폴리오로 통합한다.

이 새로운 제품을 통해 듀폰의 고객은 단독으로 또는 다중 기술 수처리 솔루션( multi-technology water treatment solution)의 일부로 사용할 수 있는 Best-Fit 한외여과 기술의 이점을 보다 쉽게 활용하여 높은 여과 성능, 높은 회수율 및 에너지 절감이라는 목표를 달성할 수 있다.

UF 전문가로 구성된 글로벌 네트워크를 통해 듀폰팀은 고객이 IntegraTec™ 포트폴리오를 탐색하여 산업, 도시 및 상업 응용 분야를 위한 확장 가능하고 지속 가능한 물 및 하·폐수 여과 솔루션을 맞춤화 하도록 도울 수 있다.

PVDF(폴리비닐리덴 플루오라이드), PES(폴리에테르술폰) 및 PP(폴리프로필렌) 막 화학(membrane chemistries)을 사용할 수 있으며 모듈은 가압 또는 침수된 구성으로 구성할 수 있다.

2020년 1월, 듀폰은 한외여과를 포함한 자체 정수 및 분리 기술 포트폴리오에 추가하여 Inge GmbH 및 Memcor®의 인수를 완료했다.

듀폰은 깨끗한 물을 생성하기 위한 에너지 요구를 줄이면서 물을 재활용해야 하는 증가된 필요성을 포함하여 고객의 현재 및 미래 과제를 해결하기 위해 세 가지의 고유한 울트라필터링 기술을 결합했다.

한외여과는 수많은 산업, 지방자치단체, 상업적 용도로 정수 및 여과에 사용된다. 한외여과막 장벽은 박테리아, 바이러스, 콜로이드를 포함한 입자 0.02∼0.05미크론(㎛)을 제외하고 전 세계적으로 점점 엄격해지는 수질기준을 충족한다.

고객의 지속 가능성 목표를 지원하기 위해, 단독으로 사용되는 한외여과는 전처리 화학물질이나 슬러지 처리에 관련된 비용을 사용할 필요가 없다. UF는 역삼투압(RO)의 전처리제로 사용할 경우 RO 막의 오염을 줄여 화학물질 사용 및 운영비용을 낮춘다.

듀폰의 물 기술은 전 세계에서 매 분마다 5천만 갤런 이상의 물을 정화하고, 물 재사용 및 재활용, 담수화, 지표수와 지표수의 안전한 접근을 가능하게 한다.

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 14, 2023 - To better serve municipal and industrial customers, DuPont is consolidating and rebranding its diverse portfolio of ultrafiltration (UF) membranes for the sustainable purification, conservation, and reuse of water.

The DuPont™ IntegraTec™ portfolio of ultrafiltration technologies and products consolidates several legacy ultrafiltration brands - from Inge®, Memcor®, and DuPont Ultrafiltration - into a singular portfolio available to customers.

This new offering makes it easier for DuPont’s customers to harness the benefits of the Best-Fit ultrafiltration technology, either to be used alone or as a part of a multi-technology water treatment solution, toward the goals of high-filtration performance, high recovery, and energy savings. 

With a global network of UF experts, DuPont’s team can help customers navigate the IntegraTec™ portfolio to tailor scalable, sustainable water and wastewater filtration solutions for industrial, municipal, and commercial applications.

The DuPont™ IntegraTec™ product portfolio features an extensive and diverse range of reliable and durable modules, providing flexibility in system design to meet the specific priorities and needs of individual customers; PVDF, PES and PP membrane chemistries are available, and modules can be configured in either a pressurized or submerged configuration. 

Integrated ultrafiltration options are also available that combine the screening and UF stages within a single compact vessel to reduce the plant footprint and enhance the robustness of the solution.

In January of 2020, DuPont completed the acquisitions of inge GmbH, and Memcor®, adding to its own portfolio of water purification and separation technologies, including ultrafiltration. 

DuPont brought together the three distinct sets of ultrafiltration technologies to meet customers’ current and future challenges, including the increased need to recycle water while reducing the energy requirements to generate clean water. 

Ultrafiltration is used in water purification and filtration for numerous industrial, municipal, and commercial applications. Ultrafiltration membrane barriers exclude particles 0.02 to 0.05 microns, including bacteria, viruses, and colloids, meeting increasingly stringent water-quality standards around the world.

Supporting customers sustainability goals, ultrafiltration, used alone, does not require the use of pretreatment chemicals or associated costs for sludge disposal. When used as a pretreatment for reverse osmosis (RO), UF reduces RO membrane fouling, lowering chemical usage and operating costs.
