리스본 메트로, 악시오나 자회사인 악시오나 에너지 통해 CO2 배출량 줄이고 감축하기 위한 조치 시행

포르투갈의 리스본 메트로(Lisbon Metro)는 악시오나 에너지아(ACCIONA Energia)의 100% 재생 가능 전기 공급 덕분에 모든 운영에서 탄소중립을 달성했다고 발표했다.

 

악시오나 에너지아는 두 회사가 공급 계약을 체결한 2022년 5월부터 운송회사에 100GWh에 가까운 재생 가능 전기를 공급했다.

에너지원은 포르투갈 전기그룹 REN(Rede Eletrica Nacional)의 EEGO(Entidade Emissora de Garantias de Origem) 플랫폼에서 100% 재생 가능 원산지 보증 인증서 발급을 통해 인증되며 유럽 에너지 인증서 시스템에도 통합되어 있다. 

따라서 리스본 메트로는 경제의 탈탄소화와 리스본 대도시권(Lisbon Metropolitan Area)의 이동성 개선에 대한 약속을 강화하고 있다.

또한 메트로의 운영에서 탄소 중립성 달성 목표 달성은 리스본 시의회가 2030년까지 도시의 탄소중립을 달성하기 위해 설정한 목표와 2050년에 설정된 국가 탄소중립 목표(national carbon neutrality targets set for 2050)를 예상하는 환경 및 기후 행동 부의 야망에 기여할 예정이다.

악시오나 에너지아는 포르투갈의 탈탄소화를 위한 전략적 파트너로서의 입지를 공고히 하고 있다. 리스본 메트로와의 녹색 전기 공급 계약은 그루포 바이올라스(Grupo Violas), 마크로(Makro), 프낵(Fnac), NH호텔(NH Hotels) 및 비드랄라(Vidrala)와 같은 포르투갈의 주요 고객과의 다른 계약에 이어 국제 기업 고객의 회사 포트폴리오를 강화하고 있다.

악시오나 에너지아는 청정 에너지의 상업화 외에도 풍력 및 태양열 설비를 포함하여 포르투갈에 166MW의 재생 가능 발전 자산을 보유하고 있다.

포르투갈에 있는 악시오나 에너지아의 시설에는 16개의 풍력 발전소와 이베리아 반도에서 가장 큰 태양광 발전소 중 하나인 46MWp의 아마렐레야(Amareleja) 태양광 발전소가 포함되어 있다.

Lisbon Metro achieves carbon neutrality thanks to ACCIONA Energia’s renewable electricity supply

Positive impact: Lisbon Metro has implemented several measures to reduce and offset its CO2 emissions, including a reforestation plan

Lisbon Metro announced it has achieved carbon neutrality across all its operations thanks to the supply of 100% renewable electricity by ACCIONA Energia, among other measures.

ACCIONA Energia has supplied close to 100GWh of renewable electricity to the transport company since May 2022, when the two entities signed the supply agreement.

The source of the energy is certified through the issuance of certificates of 100% Renewable Guarantees of Origin by the EEGO (Entidade Emissora de Garantias de Origem) platform of Portugal’s electricity group REN (Rede Eletrica Nacional), also integrated in the European Energy Certificate System.

Lisbon Metro thus reinforces its commitment to the decarbonization of the economy and the improvement of mobility in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

In addition, the achievement of Metro's goal to reach carbon neutrality in its operations contributes to the targets set by the Lisbon City Council to achieve carbon neutrality for the city by 2030, and to the ambition of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action to anticipate the national carbon neutrality targets set for 2050.

ACCIONA Energia is consolidating its position as a strategic partner for decarbonization in Portugal. The green electricity supply agreement with Lisbon Metro follows other contracts with leading customers in Portugal, such as Grupo Violas, Makro, Fnac, NH Hotels and Vidrala, and it strengthens the company's portfolio of international corporate customers.

Besides the commercialization of clean energy, ACCIONA Energia has 166MW of renewable generation assets in Portugal, including wind and solar installations.

The company’s portfolio in Portugal includes 16 wind farms, as well as one of the largest photovoltaic plants in the Iberian Peninsula, the 46MWp Amareleja Solar Power Plant.
