앵글리안 워터(Anglian Water)는 2030 탄소중립(Net Zero) 목표를 달성하기 위해 사전 예방적 유지 관리 프로그램 공급업체인 사모틱스(Samotics)와 5년 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 앵글리안 워터는 2028년까지 사모틱스의 ESA 및 CBM 기술을 공급 받는다.

앵글리안 워터는 시간 기반 사후 대응적 유지 관리 체제에서 상태 기반 사전 예방적 유지 관리 접근 방식으로 전환하기 위한 일환으로 ESA와 진동이라는 두 가지 조건 기반 모니터링(CBM) 기술에 대한 입찰을 실시했다. ESA는 위치상 고품질의 고주파 데이터를 얻기 어려운 수중 자산군에 적합한 기술이다. 모터 제어 센터에서 원격으로 전기 데이터를 캡처할 수 있기 때문에 장비 또는 장비 근처에 센서를 설치할 필요가 없다.

앵글리안 워터의 입찰은 CBM 기술의 지원을 받아 깨끗한 물과 물재활용 네트워크를 최적화하는 데 중점을 두었다. 이를 통해 앵글리안 워터는 자산의 상태 및 성능에 대한 통찰력을 갖고 유지 관리 체제를 개선할 수 있으며, 결함 발생에 대해 사전 예방적 조치를 취할 수 있다. 사모틱스는 오염 사고와 펌프 손상을 방지하기 위해 막힘의 초기 징후를 파악하는 SAM4 Health의 자동 막힘 감지 기능을 포함해 다양한 도구를 사용해 이러한 결과를 제공할 것이다.

앵글리안 워터는 경쟁적인 입찰 과정을 거쳐 2028년까지 사모틱스를 ESA 기술 및 서비스 공급업체로 선택했다. 사모틱스의 SAM4 Health 솔루션은 100개 이상의 깨끗한 물과 물재활용 사이트에서 다른 중요한 자산 외에도 수중 장비를 모니터링해 600만 명 이상의 고객에게 서비스를 제공한다.

Anglian Water awards Samotics five-year deal to support operational resilience and energy efficiency

Samotics a leading provider of real-time actionable insights to eliminate industrial energy waste and unplanned downtime, has been awarded a five-year contract by Anglian Water to help it deliver an extensive proactive maintenance program and meet 2030 Net Zero targets. Anglian Water selected Samotics as its ESA technology and services CBM supplier through to 2028.

The award is part of Anglian Water's strategy to shift from a time-based reactive maintenance regime to a condition-based, proactive maintenance approach. To that end, a tender was issued for two different condition-based monitoring (CBM) technologies: ESA and vibration. ESA is the company’s technology of choice for its fleet of submerged assets, whose location makes it hard to acquire high-quality, high-frequency data. Because the electrical data can be captured remotely in the motor control center, there is no need to install sensors on or even near the equipment.

Anglian Water’s tender focused on optimizing its clean water and water recycling networks with the support of CBM technologies. These were identified to improve Anglian Water’s maintenance regime by delivering key insights into the health and performance of rotating and pumping assets, enabling it to take proactive measures against developing faults. Samotics will use a range of tools to deliver this result, including its SAM4 Health’s automated clogging detection feature, which pinpoints early signs of clogging to prevent pollution incidents and damage to pumps.

In addition to asset monitoring, Anglian Water will benefit from energy efficiency insights delivered by Samotics’ SAM4 Energy solution. This enhanced functionality will help the company achieve net zero operational emissions by 2030. Through detailed performance and efficiency analysis, Anglian Water can identify where electricity consumption, cost and efficiency losses are the largest and implement data-driven recommendations. Utilizing these insights to optimize operational processes can reduce energy waste and CO2 emissions by up to 15%.

After a competitive tender process, Anglian Water selected Samotics as its ESA technology and services supplier through 2028. Samotics’ SAM4 Health solution will monitor a fleet of submerged equipment, in addition to other critical rotating assets, across more than 100 clean water and water recycling sites, facilitating services to 6+ million customers.
