[미국] 즈위터코와 모트 코퍼레이션, 새로운 여과 솔루션 제공 위해 독점 파트너십 체결

 

하수처리 막 개발 회사인 즈위터코(ZwitterCo)는 지난 5월 10일 북미 지역의 분뇨 및 음식물 폐기물 소화조 등을 위한 하수 솔루션을 제공하기 위해 모트 코퍼레이션(Mott Corporation)과 다년간 독점 파트너십을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이 발표는 모트가 2021년부터 즈위터코의 북미 채널 파트너사인 다이제스티드 오가닉스(Digested Organics)를 인수한 데 뒤 따른 것이다.

즈위터코는 복잡한 하수 흐름 필터 시 빠르고 되돌릴 수 없는 막힘이 발생하기 쉬운 막에 대한 오랜 성능 제한 문제를 해결했다. 기존 막은 지방, 오일 및 기타 유기 화합물에 노출될 때 광범위한 세척 교체가 필요한 반면 즈위터코의 초여과막(superfiltration membranes)은 포화된 유기 흐름을 처리한 후 성능을 쉽게 재생한다. 농업, 식품, 매립지 및 생물처리와 같은 분야에서는 하수를 처리하기 어려운 화합물을 추출하기 위해 초여과막을 사용해 물을 재사용하고 영양소 및 기타 부산을 회수할 수 있다.

ZwitterCo and Mott Corporation Enter into Exclusive Partnership to Deliver New Filtration and Nutrient Management Solutions

 

ZwitterCo, which develops membranes to treat the most challenging wastewaters, today announced a multi-year, exclusive partnership with Mott Corporation to deliver wastewater solutions for manure and food-waste digesters, as well as breweries and distilleries, in North America. The announcement follows Mott’s acquisition of Digested Organics, ZwitterCo’s North American channel partner since 2021.

ZwitterCo has solved a long-standing performance limitation for membranes, which are normally prone to rapid and irreversible clogging when filtering complex waste streams. Traditional membranes often require extensive cleaning and replacement when exposed to even low levels of fats, oils, and other organic compounds, while ZwitterCo’s superfiltration membranes easily regenerate performance after processing saturated organic streams. Innovators in sectors like agriculture, food, landfills, and bioprocessing, use superfiltration to extract tough-to-treat compounds from their wastewater, making it affordable to reuse the water and recover nutrients and other valuable products.
