컨테이너형 UF/RO 시스템 갖춘 FlexBox™와 MBR 사용한 SILO™ 시스템 개발

이번 계약으로 H₂O 이노베이션의 블루론 신용이 7천500만 달러서 1천만 달러로 증가

H₂O 이노베이션(H₂O Innovation)은 이동식 수처리 시스템을 출시하고, 총 340만 달러 가치의 3개의 임대 계약이 성사됐다고 7월 13일 밝혔다. 

이 새로운 서비스는 지난 6월 30일 캐나다 국립은행과 체결한 협약을 통한 자본 투자로 제공된다.

이 계약으로 현재 7천500만 달러인 회사의 블루론(Blue Loan credit facility) 신용이 1천만 달러 증가했다. 이 전략적 계약으로 H₂O 이노베이션은 여과기 운용에 필요한 소모품 판매와 수익률을 개선해, 서비스 범위를 넓히고, 고객과의 관계를 강화했다. 

북미의 산업 및 지방 자치 단체 고객을 위한 포괄적인 해결책 제시의 일환으로, H₂O 이노베이션의 물 기술&서비스(Water Technologies & Services, WTS) 부서에서 이동식 수처리 시스템을 출시했다. 

회사는 두 가지 유형의 이동식 수처리 시스템을 개발했다. 첫 번째로 식수 및 산업폐수 처리와 물재이용을 위해 설계된 컨테이너형 초여과(UF) 시스템과 역삼투(RO) 시스템을 갖춘 FlexBox™를 제작했다.

두 번째로 폐수와 물재이용을 위해 설계된 막 생물반응장치(MBR)를 사용한 SILO™ 시스템을 개발했다. 지난 2년 동안 H₂O 이노베이션은 9대의 이동식 수처리기를 제작했다. 시장 부문의 수요를 위해 당사는 향후 5년 안에 40대에 수처리기를 제작하는 것을 목표로 사업을 확장할 계획이다.

프레데릭 뒤그레(Frédéric Dugré) H₂O 이노베이션의 경영진 겸 공동 설립자는 “H₂O 이노베이션의 이동식 수처리 시스템은 다목적이고 실용적이며, 고객을 위한 시기적절한 해결책 즉, 깨끗한 물과 위생에 대한 수요를 보장한다”며 “시스템 구매 외에도 FlexBox™ 및 SILO™에 대한 효율적인 비용의 임대 옵션을 제공함으로써 고객의 자본적 지출(CapEx)과 단기 운용비(OpEx) 예산에 따른 맞춤형 서비스를 제공한다”고 말했다.

또한 “새로운 거래 신용(credit facility)은 우리의 이동식 수처리기의 확장을 가능하게 하고, 기업의 현금 창출 능력(EBITDA)을 향상하하는 데 도움이 될 것이다"라고 말했다.

최근 회사는 이동식 수처리기 공급에 대한 3개의 새로운 계약을 수주했다. FlexBox™RO,  FlexBox™UF, and SILO™ 기술에 대한 총 가치는 340만 달러다.

일단 설계와 제조가 완료되면, 두 개의 FlexBox™UF는 18개월 동안 미국 동부의 광산 고객에게 납품 및 임대된다. 두 번째 계약은 SILO™ 퀘백 민간 부문에 12달 동안 임대된다. 세 번째 계약으로 FlexBox™RO는 24개월 동안 임대되어 서부 캐나다의 ‘퍼스트 네이션 커뮤니티(First Nation community)’에 배치된다. 

이 세 가지 계약을 통해 회사는 14개의 유닛으로 구성된 수처리기의 용량 및 가용성기능 향상을 결정했다. 더 큰 수처리기는 증가하는 수요를 충족시키고, 언제 어디서나 안전하고, 위생적인 물에 대한 접근을 원하는 고객의 욕구를 충족할 것이다.

H2O Innovation Officializes the Launch of its Mobile Fleet and Increases Blue Loan Credit Facility by $10 M to Support it

 

 H2O Innovation Inc. (“H2O Innovation” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to launch its mobile fleet of water and wastewater treatment systems and secure three new leasing contracts totalling $3.4 M. This new service offering will require CAPEX investment, which is made possible by the recent agreement with National Bank of Canada on June 30, 2023. This agreement led to a $10 M increase in the Corporation’s Blue Loan credit facility, which now stands at $75 M. This strategic initiative should enable H2O Innovation to broaden its range of services, strengthen its customer relationships through the sale of consumables required to operate the fleet assets, and thus improve its profit margins.

As part of its mission to offer comprehensive solutions for industrial and municipal clients in North America, H2O Innovation is launching its mobile fleet of water and wastewater treatment systems, under the Corporation’s Water Technologies & Services (WTS) business line. The Corporation designs and manufactures two different types of mobile water treatment systems: the FlexBoxTM line, which comprises containerized ultrafiltration (UF) or reverse osmosis (RO) systems designed for drinking water treatment, industrial wastewater and water reuse, as well as the SILOTM system, which employs membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology and is specifically designed for wastewater and water reuse treatment. Over the last two years, H2O Innovation has manufactured a fleet of 9 mobile units. Due to the demand in this market sector, the Corporation is expanding its fleet with the objective of reaching 40 units within the next five years.

With flexible lease options, the FlexBoxTM and SILOTM also offer a cost-effective alternative to purchasing complete systems, providing clients with the flexibility to optimize their CAPEX and OPEX budget as needed. The new credit facility will allow the expansion of our mobile fleet, which should help us improve our EBITDA margin profile,” stated Frédéric Dugré, President, Chief Executive Officer and co-Founder of H2O Innovation.

Recently, the Corporation was awarded three new contracts for the supply of mobile units, including the FlexBoxTM RO, FlexBoxTM UF, and SILOTM technologies for an aggregate value of $3.4 M. Once designed and manufactured, two FlexBoxTM UF units will be delivered and leased for an initial period of 18 months to a mining client in Eastern USA. The second project awarded to the Corporation is for a 12-month lease of two SILOTM units for a private sector client in Quebec. Finally, the third contract involves the 24-month lease of a FlexBoxTM RO system to be deployed to a First Nation community in Western Canada.

These three projects served as the driving force behind the Corporation's decision to expand its mobile fleet, which will consist of 14 units. The need for an increased capacity and availability became evident and prompted H2O Innovation to take action.
