미국이 인플레션 감소법(Inflation Reduction Act, IRA)에서 태양열 및 저장 장치에 대한 연방 지원을 중단서 기술에 대한 기대가 빠른 속도로 중단되고 있다. 태양광 개발자와 설치업체, 시공업체는 전국적으로 실질적인 프로젝트를 설계함으로써 이러한 상황을 활용하고 있습니다. 

산업 잡지 솔라파워월드는 미국의 태양광 설치업자의 업적을 기리고자 최고의 태양광 계약자 목록을 매년 개발한다. 주요 회사들은 특정 서비스, 시장 및 주별로 그룹화되고 목록화돼 있다. 아이선은 순위에 포함된 420개 미국 회사 중 65위에 올랐고, 상용 계약자(15위), 최고의 태양광 EPX(30위), 주거 계약자(51위) 등을 기록했다. 

켈시 미스브레너(Kelsey Misbrener) 솔라파워월드 편집장은 "재생 가능한 에너지는 미국 전력 발전의 4분의 1을 차지하고, 석탄을 태워 생산되는 전기를 초과한다"며 "최고의 태양광 계약업체 목록에 포함된 회사는 모두 더 깨끗한 전기로 전환하는 데 기여한다"고 설명했다.

미스브레너는 또 "우리는 매년 지붕, 주차장, 사막 지역 및 저수지를 가로질러 녹색 킬로와트(Green Kilowatts)를 투입하는 일에 대해 인정할 수 있어 영광"이라며 "모든 프로젝트는 변화를 만들고 있다"고 덧붙였다.

한편, 미국은 2023년 1분기에 설치된 태양광 패널 부문에서 역대 가장 강력한 1분기를 기록했다. 업계 분석가들은 향후 5년 동안 태양광 시장 규모가 3배로 커질 것으로 예상했다.
