[미국] 제이콥스, 미국 EPADHK 4억 5천만 달러 계약 체결

오대호 지역 환경 정화 및 인프라 복원 가속화

제이콥스(NYSE:Jacobs)는 미국 환경 보호청(EPA)의 오대호 국립 프로그램 사무소(Great Lakes National Program Office)와 지역5 슈퍼펀드 및 긴급관리부서(Emergency Management Division)로부터 4억 5천만 달러 규모의 계약을 수주했다. 

이 계약은 슈퍼펀드 및 오대호 건축 엔지니어링 서비스 무기한 납품·무한 수량에 관한 계약으로 오대호 지역에 환경·기술·관리 서비스와 관련 인프라 작업을 제공한다.

제이콥스는 5년 계약을 통해, 2030년까지 환경 악화를 보이는 25개 오대호 우려 지역 중 22개 지역의 청소 및 복원을 돕는다. 이는 초당적인프라법(Bipartisan Infrastructure Law)에 의해 수행된다.

제이콥스는 오염된 퇴적물 평가, 현장관리, 개선조사, 타당성 조사, 개선 설계 활동, 서식지 복원 설계 및 평가 지원, 호수 및 주변 인프라 시설에 대한 개선 감독을 제공하는 슈퍼펀드 및 오대호 유산법(Great Lakes Legacy Act, GLLA)의 환경 정화를 간소화하고 가속화한다.

Jacobs Receives $450 Million US Environmental Protection Agency Contract

Contract accelerates environmental cleanup and infrastructure restoration in the Great Lakes Area; Addresses and mitigates risk to public health, welfare and environment

 

Jacobs (NYSE:J) was awarded a $450-million Superfund and Great Lakes Architecture-Engineering Services indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity multi-award contract by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Great Lakes National Program Office and the Region 5 Superfund and Emergency Management Division to provide environmental, technical and management services and associated infrastructure tasks in the Great Lakes Area.

The five-year contract allows Jacobs to assist EPA's efforts to clean up and restore 22 of the 25 remaining Great Lakes Areas of Concern by 2030, an ambitious goal made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The work streamlines and accelerates both Superfund and Great Lakes Legacy Act (GLLA) environmental cleanups providing contaminated sediment evaluations, site management, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design activities, habitat restoration design and evaluation support, and remediation oversight for the lakes and surrounding infrastructure.
