[영국] 디텍트로닉, MSFM S2.5T 유량계 출시… MCERTS 승인 받아

다중센서…유량 측정 및 물 유입·침투 식별에 유용

12V 리튬이온 배터리 탑재…기대 수명 5년 이상

디테트로닉(Detectronic)은 22일 영국환경청의 ‘배출물질감시법(MCERTS)’ 인증 테스트를 거친 ‘MSFM MCERTS S2.5T’ 유량계를 출시했다고 밝혔다. 

MSFM MCERTS 2.5T는 유량을 측정하기 위해 속도, 깊이, 온도가 통합된 센서를 사용해 드리프트 없이 보다 정확한 판독 값을 제공한다.

또한, 12V 리튬이온 충전식 배터리(12V lithium-ion rechargeable battery)를 탑재해, 2분의 로깅(logging) 속도를 사용할 때 전력을 15주 이상 유지할 수 있다. 이 배터리는 충전식으로 사용할 수 있으며, 일반적인 기대 수명은 5년 이상이다. 

다중 센서, 물 유입 및 침투 식별에 유용

MSFM MCERTS 2.5T는 속도, 깊이 및 온도를 사용하여 유량을 측정해 둑이나 수로가 필요하지 않고, 유량에 영향을 줄 수 있는 생산 변화나 강렬한 날씨에 자동으로 적응해 보다 정확한 판독 값을 제공한다. 조수 또는 지하수가 하수관에 침투하는 등 추가 수량이 발생하는 경우, 수온 변화가 통합 온도 센서에 의해 감지된다.  

또한, MSFM MCERTS 2.5T에는 유량 계산을 가능하게 하는 온보드(on-board) 차세대 처리 기술이 포함돼 있어 일정 수준 이상의 물이 투입되면 자동채수기(automatic water sampler)에 신호를 보내도록 알람이 울린다.

유연한 통신 및 정교한 경보 체계…전 세계 어디서나 활용 가능

MCERTS S2.5T로 측정된 데이터는 1분에서 1일까지 사용자 지정 간격으로 기록 가능하다. 기록된 데이터는 프로그래밍된 간격으로 2G, NB-IoT, LTE-M1 네트워크를 통해 언제 어디서나 액세스할 수 있는 다국어 보안 웹 포털인 디텍데이터(DetecData)로 전송된다. 이를 통해 유입 및 침투율, 흐름 분석, 이벤트 기간 모니터링 및 강우 분석 등을 할 수 있다.

한편, ‘배출물질감시법(MCERTS)’은 영국과 웨일즈 환경청의 대기·육상·수질 배출에 대한 모니터링 인증 제도다. 이 제도는 환경청이 요구하는 품질 요구 사항을 충족할 수 있도록 기업과 물 회사에 배출 모니터링 프레임워크를 제공한다. 

MCERTS의 공인된 모니터링 장비, 자동 측정기(loggers) 및 소프트웨어는 현장의 신뢰할 수 있고 정확한 모니터링 규정 준수를 보장한다. 또한 MCERTS는 배출 규정이 준수되는지 확인하고, 모든 모니터링 장비와 설비가 현장 조건에 적합한지 확인하기 위해 독립적인 감사를 의무적으로 시행한다.

닐 버틀러(Neil Butler) 디렉트로닉의 전무 이사는 “도시 하수 처리 지침에는 하수 흐름에 대한 지속적인 모니터링이 필요하다”라며 “하수 처리 작업은 유량 측정에 의존한다”고 말했다. 그는 “잘못된 유량 측정은 처리시설 운영에 영향을 미치고 잠재적인 환경 또는 법적 결과를 초래할 수 있다”고 강조했다.

MSFM S2.5T FLOW METER LAUNCHED WITH MCERTS APPROVAL

 

Detectronic today announce the MSFM MCERTS S2.5T flow meter following months of intensive testing as part of the MCERTS accreditation procedure. Using a combination of velocity, depth and temperature sensors to determine flow rates, the MSFM MCERTS 2.5T provides more accurate readings without drift and greater assurance for customers.

Featuring a 12V lithium-ion rechargeable battery, users can expect the battery to last in excess of 15 weeks when using a logging rate of 2 minutes. The lithium-ion battery is rechargeable and has a typical life expectancy of +5 years.

MCERTS is the Monitoring Certification Scheme of the Environment Agencies of England and Wales. Providing the framework for businesses and water companies to meet quality requirements; compliance with MCERTS gives the Environment Agency confidence in the monitoring of emissions and/or discharges into the environment.

MCERTS accredited monitoring equipment, loggers and software are required to ensure reliable and accurate monitoring compliance of a given site. MCERTS also mandates independent audits to ensure best practice is followed and all monitoring equipment and installations are appropriate to the site conditions.

“Directives for handling municipal wastewater require continuous monitoring of wastewater flow,” explains Neil Butler, Detectronic’s Managing Director. “Sewage Treatment Works are dependent on flow measurements to control plant operations. Incorrect flow measurements could influence the plant’s operation and lead to potential environmental or legal consequences. Likewise, businesses required to monitor trade effluent must comply with MCERTS if it is stated in their consent license.”

The MSFM MCERTS 2.5T doesn’t require weirs or flumes and automatically adapts to changes in production and intense weather that can affect the flow rates. When tidal water or groundwater infiltrates the sewer water, as well as the additional water volume, the change in the water temperature is detected by the integrated temperature sensor.

Next generation processing technology provides on-board flow calculation. This feature can be used to provide accurate flow proportional sampling. An alarm is triggered to send a pulse to an automatic water sampler once a predetermined volume of water has passed.

Data can be recorded between 1 minute and 1 day. Logged data is transmitted hourly, daily, weekly or monthly via 2G, NB-IoT, LTE-M1 at programmed intervals to DetecData, a user-friendly, multi-language, secure web portal which users can access anywhere at any time. It takes the data received from the MSFM MCERTS S2.5T and turns it into actionable information.
