[미국] H2O이노베이션, 1천360만달러 크기 4개 프로젝트 수주

H2O이노베이션(H2O Innovation)은 의무의 물기술 및 서비스(Water Technologies & Services) 사업 분야가 향후 2개의 산업 및 2개의 지자체 프로젝트를 포함하는 4개의 새로운 연결을 수주할 것이라고 발표했습니다.

증가하는 수처리 시스템 수요와 H2O이노베이션의 FiberFlexTM 기술 전용 힘입어 이번 신규 계약 규모는 1천360만 달러에 달합니다.

4개 프로젝트 모두 H2O이노베이션의 FiberFlexTM UF(FiberFlexTM Ultrafiltation) 기술을 처리하는 전처리가 지원하는 역삼투(RO) 방식을 채택하고 있습니다. 이 기술은 고객의 처리를 선호하는 가장 선호하는 UF 방식을 거부할 수 있으므로 나중에 다른 유형의 거부로 대체할 수 있습니다. FiberFlexTM 기술의 핵심은 다양한 모듈 유형을 수용하는 다용도 스키드 디자인(skid design)입니다.

H2O이노베이션은 고객에게 더 많은 옵션을 제공하기 위해 이 적응력 있고 실용적인 접근 방식을 개발했다.

프레데릭 뒤그레(Frédéric Dugré) H2O이노베이션 공동설립자 겸 CEO는 "구체적인 요구 사항이 시간이 지남에 따라 어떻게 진화하는지 알고 개발한 이 혁신적인 솔루션으로부터 고객들이 혜택을 받는 것을 보게 되어 자랑스럽다. 고객이 이러한 프로젝트를 우리에게 맡긴다는 사실은 보다 유연하고 적응력 있는 시스템에 대한 고객의 요구를 반영한다. FiberFlexTM 기술은 향후 교체용 멤브레인의 조달이 경쟁 프로세스가 될 것이기 때문에 상업적 가치가 있다. 이 네 가지 프로젝트의 수상은 이러한 현실을 매우 잘 보여준다"고 말했다.

미국과 캐나다 국경 양쪽에서 시스템을 제조할 수 있는 H2O이노베이션의 능력은 더 많은 고객들을 적시에 그리고 효과적으로 서비스를 공급하고 있다. 이는 미국 켄터키주와 캐나다 퀘벡주 베캉쿠르에 위치한 고객을 대상으로 하는 두 개의 새로운 산업 프로젝트가 그 사례이다. 1차 산업 프로젝트는 물재이용에 중점을 두고 있으며, UF와 이중 패스 RO 공정을 이용해 산업 폐수를 처리하여 탈이온수로 재이용하는 것이다.

H2O이노베이션이 리튬전지용 부품 제조업체와 확보한 2차 산업계약에 따라 세인트로렌스강 물을 처리해 산업 공정용 초순수를 공급하는 시스템을 제공할 예정이다. 이 종합 처리 시스템에는 전처리를 위한 UF가 포함되어 있으며, 이어서 2중 패스 역삼투(RO) 공정과 EDI(electrodeionization)를 통해 고품질의 물을 생산할 수 있다. 

H2O이노베이션은 또한 북부 앨버타의 리틀 레드 리버 크리 네이션(Little Red River Cree Nation) 내에 있는 폭스 레이크 및 가든 리버 지역사회의 안전한 식수 확보를 위한 하천 수처리에 전념하는 두 개의 지자체 프로젝트를 수주했다.

폭스 레이크 및 가든 리버 시스템은 각각 4천500㎥/일)와 2천200㎥/일의 용량을 처리하도록 설계되었다. 이 처리 시스템은 고압 막을 사용헤 총유기탄소(TOC)를 효과적으로 분리해 수원에서 소독 부산물 전구체를 제거할 수 있도록 보장한다.

Four New Projects Add $13.6 M to H2O Innovation’s WTS Backlog

H2O Innovation Inc. (“H2O Innovation” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that its Water Technologies & Services (WTS) business line was recently awarded four new contracts, including two industrial and two municipal projects. These new contracts, driven by the increasing demand for water treatment systems and the uniqueness of H2O Innovation’s FiberFlexTM technology, amount to $13.6 M and increase the Corporation’s WTS backlog to $76.7 M, its highest value to date. 

All four projects employ reverse osmosis (RO) with pretreatment using H2O Innovation’s FiberFlexTM ultrafiltration (UF) technology, which provides clients with the flexibility to select the UF membrane type that is best suited for their water treatment needs and the option to replace it later with a different type of membrane. The core of the FiberFlexTM technology is a versatile skid design that accommodates a wide range of module types.

The Corporation developed this adaptable and practical approach in order to offer more options to their clients, and this design benefits both plant owners and engineers. Owners should experience an enhanced operational flexibility, as the technology enables them to disassociate mechanical systems and membranes, to take advantage of product development from different manufacturers, and to facilitate membrane replacement. Similarly, engineers should benefit from more streamlined design and engineering processes, as the technology allows for multiple configuration options and minimal engineering.

The Corporation’s ability to manufacture systems on both sides of the border will allow them to serve more clients in a timely and effective manner. This is exemplified by the fact that the Corporation’s two new industrial projects are for clients located in Kentucky (USA), and in Bécancour, Quebec (Canada). The first industrial project centers on water reuse and involves the treatment of industrial wastewater using UF and double-pass RO processes for reuse as deionized water for a confidential client. Under the second industrial contract, which H2O Innovation has secured with a manufacturer of components for lithium batteries, the Corporation will provide a system that will be used to treat water from the St. Lawrence River to supply ultrapure water for industrial processes. This comprehensive treatment system includes UF for pretreatment, followed by a double-pass RO system and lectrodeionization (EDI) to obtain high-quality water. This project also highlights the importance of having strategically located installations, as the proximity of H2O Innovation’s Ham-Nord facility to the client was a contributing differentiator that helped the Corporation secure this contract.

H2O Innovation has also been awarded two municipal projects, both of which are dedicated to the treatment of river water to ensure safe drinking water for the Fox Lake and Garden River communities within the Little Red River Cree Nation in Northern Alberta. The Fox Lake and Garden River systems are engineered to handle capacities of 1.2 MGD (4,500 m3/day) and 0.6 MGD (2,200 m3/day) respectively. These treatment systems employ high-pressure membranes to effectively separate total organic carbon, thereby ensuring the removal of disinfection byproduct precursors from the water sources.
