제이콥스(Jacobs)는 뉴멕시코주 파밍턴시의 운영 및 유지 관리(O&M), 하수 및 지표수 처리장과 하수 수집 및 수돗물 공급 시스템의 에 대한 계약을 5년 연장하다고 밝혔다.

이번 연장 계약에는 기후변화 대응, 규제 강화, 인력 부족 및 운영 성과에 있어 수도시설을 지원하는 제이콥스 제품군의 디지털 원워터(Digital OneWater) 솔루션인 아쿠아 DNA(Aqua DNA)가 포함된다. 제이콥스는 세 개의 강이 합류하는 콜로라도 고원에 위치한 약 5만 명이 거주하는 지역사회에 아쿠아 DNA를 사용해 수집 시스템 수준을 모니터링하고 운영을 조정해 범람을 방지하며 에너지 효율성을 향상시킬 것으로 기대된다.

5년 연장 계약은 2024년 1월 1일 시작되며, 초기 계약 금액은 연간 900만 달러다. 제이콥스는 1999년부터 파밍턴시에 O&M 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 인력 개발에 중점을 두고 제이콥스는 지역사회 고용 활동을 조정하고 지역 커뮤니티 칼리지에서 숙련된 인력을 양성하고 있다. 제이콥스는 기술, 지속 가능성 및 안전에 대한 노력을 인정받아 최근 바이오 고형물 재이용에 대한 물 환경 연맹의 미래 유틸리티 상과 록키 산 물 환경 협회의 안전 상을 수상한 바 있다.

Jacobs Secures Water and Wastewater Utilities Renewal Contract in New Mexico

Project extension to incorporate digital solutions, support resiliency efforts and improve energy efficiency

 

Jacobs (NYSE:J) was awarded a five-year contract renewal for operations and maintenance (O&M) of the City of Farmington, New Mexico's, wastewater and surface water treatment plants and wastewater collection and drinking water distribution systems.

The new contract incorporates Aqua DNA, a Digital OneWater solution from Jacobs' suite of products that assists water utilities in their response to climate change, tightening regulations, workforce shortages and operational performance. In addition to supporting resiliency efforts and providing contingency planning for the community of nearly 50,000 people, located on the Colorado Plateau at the junction of three rivers, Jacobs will use Aqua DNA to monitor collection system levels, adjust operations to prevent overflows and improve energy efficiency.

The five-year contract commences January 1, 2024, with an initial contract value of $9 million per year. Jacobs has provided O&M services to the City of Farmington since 1999.
