[영국] 스완, AI 기반 검색 도구 ‘Lighthouse’ 베타 출시

스마트 워터 부문의 글로벌 리더인 스마트 워터 네트워크 포럼(Smart Water Networks Forum, SWAN, 이하 스완)은 획기적인 AI 기반 검색 도구 '라이트 하우스(Lighthouse)'의 베타 출시를 발표했다.

전통적인 등대가 선박의 길을 안내하는 것처럼 라이트 하우스는 사례 연구, 보고서, 백서, 인터뷰, 회의 요약 및 최신 스마트 수자원 연구 등 스완의 광범위한 지식을 검토해 수초안에 개념을 요약하고, 질문에 답변한다.

케다르 다바드카르(Kedar Dabhadkar) KETIOS의 선임 데이터 과학자이자 SWAN RiSWP 앰배서더와 공동으로 개발한 라이트 하우스는 물, 하·폐수 및 빗물 자원을 이해하고 관리하는 데 있어 물 전문가가 직면한 문제를 해결하도록 설계됐다. 라이트 하우스는 사용자가 세부 정보를 확인할 수 있도록 가장 관련성이 높은 참조와 함께 답변을 제공한다.

케다르 다바드카르는 "라이트 하우스는 AI 기반 소프트웨어 워크플로를 사용해 30만 개 이상의 단어와 대형 언어 모델(LLM) 소스에서 사용자의 질문과 관련된 정보를 조회하고, 답변을 생성한다"며 "스완의 순환 프레임워크에서 영감을 받아 반복적인 개발 및 스완 회원 피드백 수용을 통해 라이트 하우스 답변의 관련성과 완성도를 획기적으로 향상시켰다"고 말했다.

셜리 벤-닥(Shirley Ben-Dak) 스완의 수석 고문은 아미르 칸(Amir Cahn) 스완의 CEO 및 열정적인 베타테트터들과 함께 제품 출시에 협력했으며 다음과 같이 말했다.

SWAN launches innovative digital AI assistant to amplify search experience

 

The Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) is thrilled to announce the beta launch of Lighthouse, a groundbreaking, AI-enabled search tool to help accelerate smart water knowledge. Just as a traditional lighthouse guides ships as they navigate the waters, Lighthouse sifts through SWAN’s incredible knowledge base – case studies, reports, whitepapers, interviews, meeting recaps, and the latest smart water research to summarise concepts and answer queries within seconds.

Developed in collaboration with SWAN RiSWP Ambassador Kedar Dabhadkar, Sr. Data Scientist at KETOS, Lighthouse is designed to address the challenges faced by water professionals in understanding and managing water, wastewater, and stormwater resources. Given that AI-powered dialogue is still an emerging technology, Lighthouse also accompanies answers with the most relevant references for users to verify the details.

Commenting on its capabilities, Kedar Dabhadkar explains:

Lighthouse uses an AI-based software workflow to look up information relevant to user questions from a source of more than 300,000 words and Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate responses. Inspired by SWAN’s circular framework, we followed an iterative development and SWAN Member feedback process that dramatically improved the relevance and completeness of Lighthouse’s answers.

SWAN’s Senior Advisor Shirley Ben-Dak, who collaborated with SWAN’s CEO Amir Cahn and passionate beta users on this exciting product release, added:
