The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) announces the draft revision of the ANSI/APSP-1 2003 Standard for Public Swimming Pools is available for public review and comment. APSP is seeking approval for the revisions under the accreditation procedures with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The standard covers public swimming pools to be used for swimming, bathing, competitive activities, or recreational activities that are operated by an owner, lessee, operator, licensee, or concessionaire, regardless of whether a fee is charged for use. Public swimming pools covered by this standard include class A, B, C, and F pools.
