Siemens Energy 사가 개발한 습식 산화 시스템이 인도네시아 군디(Gundih) 지역에 위치한 가스 가공 시설로 운송·설치되어 가스 처리공정 중에 발생하는 오염된 하수를 처리할 것으로 알려졌다.

동남아시아의 Archipelago 사와 Siemens 사의 이번 계약은 PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik 사와 PT Adhi Karya Tbk 사가 포함된 컨소시엄을 통해 성사되었다. 이 계약의 종합건설업자로서 두 회사는 최종 소비자인 인도네시아 국영 정유 및 가스 기업 PT Pertamina EP의 가스 가공 시설을 힘을 합쳐 건설할 예정이다.

군디 가스 가공 플랜트는 인도네시아 중심부 자바(Java) 지방 블로라(Blora)에서 공사가 진행되고 있다. 본 시설은 2013년 말 최초 운행 이전 까지 매일 5천만 입방피트 규모의 생산 능력을 갖출 예정이다. Siemens 사의 Zimpro 습식 산화 시스템은 인도네시아 환경 규제 배출 기준에 부합하는 폐기물을 생산하고 악취가 심한 고화학성 산성 오염원(COD)를 제거함으로서 황 복원 공정 중에 발생하는 알칼리성 폐수와 하수의 혼합물을 처리할 것으로 알려졌다.

Abu Dhabi, Aug. 12, 2013 -- A wet air oxidation system from Siemen Energy is planned to be soon delivered to a gas processing plant in Gundih, Indonesia to treat wastewater contaminated during the gas production process.

The contract between Siemens and Southeast Asia's archipelago was awarded by a consortium consisting of PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. As general contractors, both companies are working together to build the gas processing plant for the end customer, the state-owned Indonesian oil and gas PT Pertamina EP.

The Gundih gas processing plant is under construction in Blora in Indonesia's Central Java province. The facility will have a daily gas production capacity of 50 million standard cubic feet (1.4 million standard cubic meters) after start-up at the end of 2013. Siemens' Zimpro wet air oxidation system will treat a mixture of alkaline wastewater and wastewater generated during sulfur recovery by destroying odorous and high chemical oxygen demand (COD) pollutants and generating an effluent that meets the Indonesian environmental regulations for discharge.

Wet oxidation is the oxidation of soluble or suspended components in an aqueous environment using oxygen as the oxidizing agent. When air is used as the source of oxygen, the process is referred to as wet air oxidation (WAO). The system will oxidize odorous reduced sulfur species such as sulfides and mercaptides, and will also break down complex organic contaminants, such as phenols, to either carbon dioxide and water, or biodegradable organics.

"The Gundih project is the first wet air oxidation system that Siemens has delivered to Indonesia," says Mario Azar, Head of the Business Unit Oil & Gas Solutions at Siemens Energy Sector. "Our solution not only offers low energy consumption and minimal maintenance costs, but also features excellent reliability and efficiency."
