다우코닝과 중국의 타이웨이 뉴 에너지 홀딩스 회사는 11월 26일에 태양광 분야에서의 새로운 협력을 발표하였다. 다우 코닝의 실리콘 기반 차세대 전도성 접착제는 타이웨이 뉴 에너지 홀딩스 회사의 금속 랩 쓰루(Metal Wrap Through: MWT) 모듈 생산 라인에 사용될 것이다.

 

이 모듈 생산 라인은 네덜란드의 에너지 연구센터가 개발한 산업규모의 완전 자동화된 생산 해결안이다. 접착제는 우수한 전기 특성과 안전성을 가지고 있어 모듈의 전기적 성능, 내구성 및 신뢰성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있다. 이러한 기술적인 첨단방법과 협력은 두 회사가 태양전지 혁신과 기술적인 응용에서 계속적으로 성공해 나갈 수 있는 기반을 제공해줄 수 있다.

결정성 실리콘 전지와 모듈의 첨단 기술 해결안으로 금속 랩 쓰루 기술은 기반 경비를 증가시키지 않고 효율적으로 모듈의 전환 효율을 향상시켜 산업체와 주요 제조업체들의 연구개발 분야에서 중점을 두는 분야이다.

 

금속 랩 쓰루 모듈은 전도성 백시트와 전도성 접착제를 사용하여 새로운 전지 상호연결 해결안을 제시해주는데, 이는 전력 소모를 크게 줄여주며 생산성을 향상시켜 준다. 또한 완전하게 자동화된 기능은 인건비와 위험을 크게 줄여준다.

다우 코닝의 전도성 접착제는 금속 랩 쓰류 생산라인에서 우수한 전도성과 생산성을 향상시켜 주었다. 이 접착제를 사용한 모듈은 전지에서 모듈 사이의 전력 손실이 0.4% 미만으로 매우 낮았다. 전체 면적 모듈의 효율성은 16.8%로 다중 결정성 실리콘 모듈에서 아주 우수한 결과이다.

 

가속화 실험에서 모듈은 매우 낮은 퇴화현상을 보였다. 300회 열 사이클(영하 섭씨 40도에서 85도 사이)에서 0% 손실을 보였고 섭씨 85도, 85% 상대 습도에서 1500시간 유지한 후에 0.2% 손실을 보였다.

전도성 접착제는 또한 IBC 및 유사한 높은 효율 기술과 같은 다른 태양광 백 접촉 모듈 제조분야에 사용될 수 있다. 재료는 장시간 작동되며 재활용이 가능하여 소비자들이 모듈 생산에서 재료 폐기물을 줄일 수 있게 해준다.

 

접착제를 사용한 모듈은 IEC/EN 61215, IEC/EN 61730-1 및 IEC/EN 61730-2 표준 지침에 따라 성능 시험을 받았고, 모든 시험에서 우수한 특성으로 통과되어 인증을 받았다.

Dow Corning and Tianwei New Energy Holdings Company jointly announced a new collaboration today. Dow Corning’s silicone-based, next-generation conductive adhesive Dow Corning® PV-5802 will be used in Tianwei New Energy’s Metal Wrap Through (MWT) module production line – an industrial scale, highly automated production solution developed by ECN (Energy Research Center of the Netherlands).

PV-5802 provides excellent electrical properties and stability, which will greatly enhance the electrical performance, reliability and durability of Tianwei New Energy’s MWT module. This cooperation and technological breakthrough demonstrates both companies’ continued commitment to solar photovoltaic innovation and technology applications.

 

A cutting-edge solution for crystalline silicon cells and modules, MWT technology effectively improves module conversion efficiency without significantly increasing the base cost, which has been a major focus for the industry and the R&D efforts of mainstream manufacturers.

 

Tianwei New Energy’s product features a new cell interconnection solution using a conductive backsheet and conductive adhesives, which greatly reduce power loss and increase production yield. Its fully automated functionality also significantly reduces labor costs and quality risks.

 

Dow Corning PV-5802 conductive adhesive demonstrated excellent conductivity and production yield in tests on Tianwei’s MWT production line. The MWT modules using Dow Corning PV-5802 had very low cell-to-module power loss, less than 0.4%. The full area module efficiencies reached 16.8 %, an outstanding value for multi-crystalline Silicon modules. In accelerated aging tests, the modules showed very low degradation: 0% loss after 300 thermal cycles (between – 40 °C and 85 °C), and 0.2% loss after 1500 hours in damp heat conditions (85 °C, 85 % relative humidity).

 

Dow Corning’s conductive adhesives can also be used with other PV back contact module manufacturing applications, such as IBC and similar high efficiency technologies. The material has a long working time and is highly recyclable, helping customers reduce material waste in module production.

 

A set of MWT modules using Dow Corning PV-5802 has been tested by TUV Nord for qualification according to the standards IEC/EN 61215, IEC/EN 61730-1 and IEC/EN 61730-2.  All tests were passed successfully, and as a result certification was granted.
