| [유럽]플라스틱 폐기물 재활용을 위한 협력
플라스틱 폐기물의 회수 및 바이오 고분자 생산에서 첨단 기술을 개발하고 있는 그린 화학회사인 Carbios와 SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT는 플라스틱 폐기물의 회수와 재활용 분야에서 미래 협력을 위해 일차적인 동의서 협정을 맺었다고 발표하였다.
이 동의서는 플라스틱 폐기물의 재활용에서 새로운 방법을 제안하고 비즈니스 모델의 중심에서 순환경제를 두기 위해 2개의 회사가 보유한 기본 전략을 보여주는 것이다.
첫 번째 단계의 부분으로 SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT는 Carbios에게 부속의 SITA 프랑스 처리 부지로부터 플라스틱 폐기물 보관물을 공급할 것이다.
Carbios는 다양한 생물학적인 도구를 사용하고 플라스틱 폐기물의 회수 잠재성을 확대하기 위해서 플라스틱 폐기물 조성을 분류할 것이다.
그러고 나서 Carbios는 이들 바이오공정들을 가능한 폐기물 저장소에서 시험하고 보다 좋은 재활용과 폐기물 플라스틱의 회수를 위해 공장 효율성을 확대할 것이다.
목표는 플라스틱 폐기물을 분해하고 기본 물질인 석유를 기반으로 하는, 높은 품질을 가진 고분자들을 수집하는데 있어 가장 효율적인 공정들을 실행하는 것이다.
따라서 이 무한한 재활용 공정은 기존의 재활용 공정에서 문제가 되었던 화학적 및 기계적 한계를 피할 수 있게 해준다.
플라스틱 폐기물 2500만 톤은 매년 유럽에서 발생하고 있으며 이들 중 단지 20%만이 재활용된다. 이들은 주요한 환경 문제를 일으키며 또한 아직 개발되지 않은 재생자원에 상당하게 침적된다. 이들의 회수가 Carbios 및 SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT의 주된 관심사이다.
“우리는 SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT가 우리를 신뢰하는 것을 기쁘게 생각한다. 이러한 신뢰는 Thanaplast 프로젝트로 진행되고 있는 플라스틱 폐기물 회수 분야에서 우리의 혁신적인 생물학적 공정들이 전략적인 위치를 차지할 수 있게 해준다.
우리 전문가들이 참여하여 플라스틱의 최종 사용 후에 노출되는 주된 환경문제에 대한 효율적이며 산업적인 해결안 실행을 가속화시키고 우리가 환경오염을 가능한 줄이면서 점점 더 많아지는 플라스틱 폐기물을 회수하고 재활용할 수 있는 가능한 방법들에 대한 질문에 답변을 해줄 것”이라고 Carbios의 최고책임자인 Jean-Claude Lumaret는 말한다.

Carbios and SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT Enter Preliminary Collaboration Agreement for Recycling of Plastic Waste
Carbios, a green chemistry company developing cutting-edge technologies in the recovery of plastic waste and the production of bio-polymers, and SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT announced the signing of a preliminary agreement for future cooperation in the field of recovery and recycling of plastic waste.
This agreement shapes the two companies’ common strategy to place circular economy at the heart of their business model and propose new ways of recycling plastic waste.
As part of this preliminary phase, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT will provide Carbios with plastic waste deposits from its subsidiary SITA France's treatment sites. Carbios will explore plastic waste composition in order to enrich its range of biological tools and expand the potential of plastic waste recovery.
Carbios will then test these bioprocesses on the available deposits and validate their processing efficiency for better recycling and recovery of waste plastics.
The aim is to implement the most effective processes to decompose plastic waste and collect its basic component, the polymer, as high quality as a petroleum-based product.
This infinite recycling process thus allows avoiding chemical and mechanical constraints encountered in conventional recycling processes.
The recycling of plastics: an environmental challenge 25 million tons of plastic waste are produced every year in Europe1 of which only 20% are recycled.
They represent a major environmental challenge but also a considerable deposit of untapped renewable resources. Their recovery is at the heart of both Carbios and SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT's concerns.
