WRI(Water Research Institute)는 전 세계 글로벌 국가별·지역별로 water stress 정도를 나타내는 순위를 발표했다.
총 181개 국가 및 100개의 하천을 대상으로 했으며 이중 19개 국가는 가장 높은 5등급을, 37개 국가는 그 다음 높은 4∼5 등급을 나타내며 가장 water stress가 심한 국가는 서부사하라, UAE, 트리니다드 토바고, 싱가포르 및 샌 마리노 등으로 나타났다.

WRI creates first-ever global water stress rankings by country
The first-ever global water stress rankings by country, created by the World Resources Institute's (WRI) Aqueduct team, have been released, according to a press release.
The WRI rankings track water risk across 181 countries and 100 river basins, with 37 countries facing "extremely high" levels of water stress and using more than 80 percent of their available water supply every year, the release reported.
The top five countries are the Western Sahara, United Arab Emirates, Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore and San Marino, noted the release.
According to the release, there are a total of 19 countries with the highest water risk of 5, and 37 with a risk score between four and five (extremely high).
