IDE wins oil refinery SWRO plant in India
Reliance Industries Ltd, India's largest private-sector company, has ordered its first seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination solution from IDE Technologies. Reliance chose IDE's SWRO solution to meet the increased water capacity needs of the plant at one of India's largest oil refineries.
The new SWRO plant will yield pure processed water. The plant will be close to the sea, decreasing the length of pipes and thereby reducing costs related to pumping.
"Over the past several years, we've established a strong partnership with Reliance built on trust and success with our reliable desalination solutions. With Reliance's first installation of our SWRO solution, we look forward to taking our partnership to the next level of success and growth," said Avshalom Felber, CEO of IDE Technologies.
IDE Technologies was unable to give D&WR any further details of the contract.
