태국 기업인 Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC)은  Veolia의 기름과 가스 해결 기술 조합과 1천500백만 유로 계약을 체결했다.

FPCC는 Mai Liao 석유 화학 복합 단지의 생산 능력을 확대하기 위한 수 처리 공장을 개선한다.

FPCC는 지표수 소비 절감을 목표로 하고 Veolia협정에 따라 수 처리 공장이 개선과 기술, 장비를 제공한다. 

FPCC가 사용한 MBBR 기술은 수 재활용을 최대한 활용하는 내부 기술이다.

그 기술은 공장의 원수 소비를 60,000 m3/day에서 25,000 m3/day까지 절감하고 5,000 m3/day 재생 수를 사용 할 수 있게 한다.

Taiwanese refiner and olefins producer Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) has awarded a 15 million euro contract to the oil and gas solutions & technologies unit of Veolia.

FPCC is upgrading the water treatment plant as part of an expansion to the production capacity of its Mai Liao petrochemical complex (south west coast of Taiwan). One of the aims is to reduce surface water consumption.

As part of the agreement Veolia will design the water treatment plant upgrade and supply the technology and equipment.

Solutions used at FPCC Mai Lioa site include in-house technologies such as AnoxKaldnes MBBR (Moving Bed Bioreactor), with the aim to maximize water reuse.

This solution and the technologies implemented by Veolia on this site will provide for an important decrease in raw water consumption of the plant (from 60,000 m3/day down to 25,000 m3/day, of which 5,000 m3/day of water reused).

The Mai Liao complex is the largest in Taiwan with a refining capacity of 540,000 barrels per day and a yearly production of ethylene and propylene exceeding respectively 2.9 and 2.3 million tons.
