[미국] California American Water, 100만달러의 기금 승인 대기

California American Water (CalAm)은 수자원 계획부에서 실시한 50개의 담수화 보조금 프로그램 중 하나인 몬테레이 반도 물공급 프로젝트에서 제안된 지표유입 실험을 위한 100만달러의 기금 승인을 기다리고 있다고 밝혔다.

CalAm은 하루 4천 800만 규모의 해수 역삼투 플랜트를 위한 실험정을 승인받기 위해 8월 26일 마리나 시에 갈 예정이다. 프로젝트는 대양저 밑 20 위치에 224m의 확장정과 3개의 계량기를 설치할 계획이다. 자료 수집은 2015년 초부터 시작하고 플랜트는 2018년 5월부터 시작할 계획이다.

California American Water (CalAm) is awaiting the results of its application for US$ 1 million in funding for subsurface intake testing for its proposed Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project under the Department of Water Resources Proposition 50 desalination grants programme.

CalAm will go before the City of Marina on 26 August to seek approval for its proposed test well for a 48 Ml/d seawater revers osmosis plant. Plans call for the well head to be buried in a vault three metres below ground with the well extending 244m at a 20  angle aimed beneath the ocean floor.

Data collection should begin in early 2015 and the plant is scheduled for full startup in June 2018. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the Public Utility Commission's December hearings on the project could be delayed by up to three months.
