[베네수엘라] 도시 최대의 담수화 플랜트 운영 준비

베네수엘라 국유의 석유 회사인 PDVSA는 이번 연도 말에 파라과냐 반도의 석유 정제공장에 물을 제공하고 지역사회에 식수를 공급히가 위해 2억 달러 규모의 해수 역삼투압 플랜트 운영을 시작할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

하루 7만㎥ 규모의 플랜트는 파라과냐 정제센터의 증기생산을 위해 하루 5만5천㎥의 물을 공하고 나머지는 파라과냐 반도 지역주민의 요구를 충족하기 위해 시설과 Hidrofalcon에 제공될 예정이다.

이 플랜트는 CRP의 운용 신뢰도를 향상시키고 베네수엘라의 정제 용량의 71%를 차지하는 세계에서 두 번째로 큰 정제 복합단지가 될 예정이다. 또한, 가뭄과 인구 및 경제 성장으로 물 공급에 민감한 지역의 식수 공급을 향상시킨다.

한편, 담수화 시설은 베네수엘라와 라틴아메리카에서 제일 큰 규모로 스페인 기반의 담수화 설계·건설 회사인 Acciona Agua가 CRP 프로젝트를 주도한다.

Venezuela state-owned oil firm PDVSA expects by the end of the year to start operating a US$ 200 million seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant to provide water for oil refineries on the Paraguana peninsula and drinking water for local communities.

The 70,000 m³per day plant will provide 55,000 m³/d to the vast Refinery Centre Paraguana (CRP) for steam production. The rest will be supplied to the utility, Hidrofalcon, to meet the needs of the communities of the Paraguana peninsula.

The plant is expected to Increase the operational reliability of the CRP - the world's second largest refinery complex accouting for 71% of Venezuela's refining capacity. It is expected also to improve the security of drinking water supply in the region which is susceptible to droughts and where the population and economy is growing.

The desalination facility will be Venezuela's biggest and one of Latin America's largest. Spanish desalination plant design, construction, and operation company, Acciona Agua, is leading the CRP project.

The CRP refinery complex is located in Falcon state (Amuay and Cardon refineries) and the western coast of Lake Maracaibo in the Zulia state (Bajo Grande refinery).
