[미국] WWTP에서 최초로 국제적 여과 설비 설치

2014년 9월 4일 캘리포니아주 산타바바라에 위치한 El Estero 오수 처리 공장에 도시의 식수 공급에 대한 요구를 줄이기 위해 북미 최초로 국제적 여과(UF) 시스템을 설치할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

멤브레인 여과 시스템 제조업체인 Wigen Water 테크놀로지가 제공해 하루 3백만 갤런을 처리할 수 있는 이 스펙트럼 시리즈의 국제적 여과 설비 시스템은 식수 이외의 용도에 쓰일 고품질의 재생산된 물을 제공할 것이다. 설계 엔지니어 CDM Smith는 국제적 받침 시스템이 각각 세 가지 정밀여과(MF)나 앞으로 도시에 경쟁 입찰 대체 모듈로 쓰일 UF모듈을 사용할 수 있다고 말했다.

The El Estero Wastewater Treatment Plant in the city of Santa Barbara, Calif., is set to install a universal ultrafiltration (UF) skid system -- the first of its kind in North America -- to help reduce demand on the city's drinking water supplies.

Provided by Wigen Water Technologies, a manufacturer of membrane filtration systems, the 3-million-gallons-per-day (MGD) Spectrum Series™ Universal Ultrafiltration Rack system will produce high-quality recycled water for non-potable applications.

Design engineer CDM Smith specified the universal rack system to be able to use three different microfiltration (MF) or UF modules that will allow the city to competitively bid replacement modules in the future rather than be locked into one supplier for the life of the treatment plant.

The racks will be supplied with Dow IntegraFlo UF modules but are also designed to accommodate Toray and Hydranautics modules. The general contractor for the project is Schock Contracting Corporation, and the plant is scheduled to start up in the summer of 2015.
