글로벌 전문 서비스 기업인 Louis Berger 사가 워싱턴 수도권 위생 위원회(WSSC)와의 3년 계약에 4백만 달러를 수여했다. 이는 상하수도 디자인 프로젝트를 위한 계약으로, 메릴랜드 몽고메리 지역과 프린스 조지 지역의 상하수도 재건 프로그램과 긴급한 상하수도 인프라 구축 검사와 수리에 필요한 자금조달에 중점을 두고 있다.

지역의 상·하수 인프라 건설을 강화하려는 목적으로, WSSC의 상수 재건 프로젝트는 상·하수 파이프라인의 전파와 분배에 대한 복원, 대체, 이전에 집중하고 있다.

 

 

 

Louis Berger, a global professional services firm, has been awarded a $4-million, three-year contract with the Washington Sanitary Suburban Commission (WSSC) for a water and sewer design project focusing on financing water and sewer reconstruction programs and inspection and repair of critical water and sewer infrastructure in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, Md.

 

Aimed at enhancing the region's water and wastewater infrastructure, WSSC's water reconstruction program focuses on rehabilitating, replacing, and relocating transmission and distribution water pipelines, sewer pipelines and large meter vaults in support of WSSC's Water Reconstruction Program.

 

As part of that mission, Louis Berger's services include inspection, testing and evaluation of existing and proposed water and sewer pipelines in the Washington Suburban Sanitary District. The company will also assist in developing and implementing a community outreach program that will provide information to the surrounding communities about the work being performed.

 

"This design project leverages the expanded design capabilities in our water services division," said Anwer Hasan, Louis Berger senior vice president, water services. "It gives us the opportunity to actively support water and wastewater design in the Mid-Atlantic and surrounding regions from our design center in Baltimore."

 

The contract contains an option for an additional three years, worth another $4 million.
