미국 기계기술자협회가 일본 기계기술자협회(JSPE), 대만건축학회(AIT)와 체결한 두 개의 새 MOU를 발표했다.

ASPE와 두 조직 간의 협력은 2013년 아시아 물절약 의회와 합동한 제1회 국제 물절약 워크샵에서부터 시작됐다. JSPE와 AIT의 대표는 최근 시카고에서 열린 2014 ASPE 컨벤션 전시회에 참석해 MOU에 서명하고, 일본과 대만의 물 효용성 노력에 대한 패널 토론에 참여했다.

 

 

 

The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) has announced two new memorandums of understanding (MOU) with the Japanese Society of Plumbing Engineers (JSPE) and the Architectural Institute of Taiwan (AIT).

 

ASPE's association with the two organizations started in 2013, when it hosted the first International Water Saving Workshop in collaboration with the Asian Saving Water Council. Representatives of JSPE and AIT recently attended the 2014 ASPE Convention and Exposition in Chicago, Ill., to sign the MOUs and participate in a panel discussion on water-efficiency efforts in Japan and Taiwan.

 

According to the MOUs, ASPE will work with both JSPE and AIT to promote collaboration for the purpose of scientific and cultural exchange via technical publications, training programs and joint membership packages.

 

"These MOUs are just one step in our program to promote international collaboration among the designers and engineers of plumbing systems," said William Smith, FASPE, ASPE's senior director of technical and regulatory affairs.

 

"Due to the global water crisis, it is imperative for ASPE to reach out to our international partners to discover how other countries are dealing with decreased water supplies in an effort to design more water-efficient plumbing systems to conserve our precious natural resources."
