펌프 제조업체인 Danfoss High Pressure Pumps사가 중간 규모의 해수 역삼투 플랜트에 맞게 설계된 가장 큰 용적형 펌프를 런칭했다.

APP 78 펌프는 시간당 78㎥로 해수 RO 내의 어떤 축방향 피스톤에서도 최고 유량을 운반한다. Danfoss에 따르면 평행한 트레이에서 APP 78은 하루 3만㎥까지 작동하는 “해수 RO 플랜트에서 전례 없는 에너지 절감”을 이뤄냈다.

이 펌프는 Danfoss가 작은 사이즈의 펌프에서 효율적으로 사용했던 것처럼 안정된 축방향 피스톤 기술을 사용한다.

 

 

Pump manufacturer, Danfoss High Pressure Pumps, has launched its largest positive displacement pump which the company has described as designed for mid-size seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plants.

 

The APP 78 pump delivers 78 m³/h - the highest flow rate of any axial piston pump for SWRO use on the market according to Danfoss. In parallel trains, the APP 78 brings "unprecedented energy savings in SWRO plants" operating at up to 30,000 m3/day said Danfoss.

 

The pump uses the well-established axial piston technology that Danfoss deploys in its smaller pumps. Danfoss said it has targeted the growing market for mid-size SWRO plants with the APP78 but at flow rates of up to 1,800 m³/d higher-capacity SWRO plants can also use the device.

 

"Customers are building more mid-size plants, and they are more focused on energy efficiency than ever before," said global sales director at Danfoss, Jesper Bentzen. The innovative APP 78 delivers "unmatched output for such a compact construction" according to Danfoss. The new pump design is also available in a 53 m³/h version, the APP 53.

 

With the latest launches, Danfoss High Pressure Pumps now cover flow rates from 0.6 to 78 m³ /hour. The APP 78 and APP 53 will be available worldwide from the first quarter of 2015.
