카리브해에 위치한 트리니다드토바고의 담수화 회사가 최근 Point Lisas 해수 역삼투 플랜트의 확장 성능시험을 완료했다.

시공된 지 12년째인 이 플랜트는 트리니다드의 서부 해안에 위치하고 있으며, 하루 160ML 용량에서 200ML까지 확장됐다. Desalcott의 총관리자 John Thompson의 말에 따르면 이 테스트를 통해 플랜트는 15일 동안 연이어 최대용량을 생산할 수 있는 능력을 시험했다. 플랜트는 사실상 하루 평균 207ML MIGD를 생산하고, 최대 222ML를 생산할 수 있다는 것이 그의 설명이다.

 

 

 

The Desalination company of Trinidad and Tobago (Desalcott) has recently completed a performance test of its expanded Point Lisas seawater reverse osmosis plant.

 

The 12-year-old plant plant on Trinidad's west coast has been expanded from160 Ml/d to 200 Ml/d. According to Desalcott general manager John Thompson, the test demonstrated the plant's ability to produce its full capacity for 15 consecutive days. The plant actually delivered an average of 207 Ml/d MIGD and a peak of 222 Ml/d while producing product water that did not exceed 85 mg/l of total dissolved solids said Thompson.

 

A further planned expansion is scheduled for June 2015 and will include adding more reverse osmosis capacity along with a microfiltration pretreatment system.
