Market researcher, TechNavio, has forecast growth in the global water desalination pumps market at 7.7%

during 2015-2019 with "intelligent" pumps showing an increasing profile.

 

Compound annual growth rate of 7.7% in the market for water desalination pumps will be driven by increases in water treatment in water-stressed, developing countries according to a recent report by TechNavio.

 

The report includes, among its notable market trends, an emerging demand for intelligent pumps that can automatically adjust to process and pump system changes. They are important in cost reduction and regulatory compliance said TechNavio vice president, Faisal Ghaus.

 

"Intelligent pump systems are being adopted by many manufacturers because of their high level of fault tolerance, which leads to a significant reduction in the total cost of ownership," he said.
