미국 델라웨어의 뉴 캐슬 카운티가 자치 하수시설의 UV 소독 시스템을 업그레이드하기 위해 Neptune Benson사의 ETS-UV에 대한 계약을 체결했다. Neptune Benson은 폐관 UV 기술 분야에서 전문성을 가진 UV 시스템 개발 및 제조 전문업체이다. 이 업그레이드를 통해 현재의 염소 기반의 시스템을 새로운 최첨단의 폐관 UV 시스템으로 전환할 것으로 기대된다.

뉴 캐슬의 시설유지감독 Regis Yurcich는 “우리의 첫 번째 UV 시스템을 설치한 이후 UV 기술이 만들어 낸 이 향상성에 매우 감명받았다”며 “ETS 폐관 시스템은 완전히 밀폐되었고, 전자동 와이퍼를 사용하며, 더 안전할 뿐만 아니라 사용하기에도 쉽다”고 밝혔다.

 

 

 

The County of New Castle, Del., has awarded a contract to ETS-UV by Neptune Benson -- a specialist in the development and manufacturer of ultraviolet (UV) systems, specializing in closed-vessel UV technology -- to upgrade the UV disinfection system at its wastewater facility. The upgrade will convert the existing chlorine-based system to a new, state-of-the-art closed-vessel UV system.

 

"We were impressed with the advances that have been made in UV technology since we installed our first UV system (open-channel UV), at one of our other facilities," said Regis Yurcich, director of facilities and maintenance for New Castle County. "The ETS closed-vessel systems are fully enclosed, use automatic wipers to keep the sleeves clean, use fewer lamps, and are both safer and simpler to use."

 

Ken Rodi, CEO of Neptune Benson, added, "The closed-vessel UV systems have been designed to overcome many of the issues encountered by the older open-channel technology. The state-of-the-art machines minimize operator maintenance and have UV cameras to measure the performance of the units in real time."
